Cons: About the only con I can find with this power supply is that you have to be truly selective of that case you use it in because of it's size. Other than that, its a Corsair, there's not much to go wrong or complain about.
Overall Review: This is a very high end power supply made for a demanding build that requires stable power, and trust me, this is one stable PSU. I have yet to have a Corsair Power unit fail on me, but if this one ever should, that 10 year warranty is a definite plus. I rate this PSU a solid 5 eggs.
Pros: Easy to install and whisper quiet. There was a bit of buzzing noise initially when I first installed it but it turned out to be one of the case fans that got dislodged a bit during installation of the PSU. You can barely hear the fan especially during zero RPM mode. According to system specs for this wattage, fan noise ranges from 10-15 db. The PSU comes equipped with a few safety measures such as Over-voltage protection (OVP), Over-current protection (OCP), Over-temperature protection (OTP), and Short-circuit protection (SCP). All four work in tandem to protect the power supply from electrical fluctuations and anomalies that might damage the electrical components of the PC. The power supply is rated as 80 PLUS TITANIUM which is a voluntary certification which indicates the power efficiency. Titanium is the highest rating thus far with 90% efficiencies across all loads meaning that there is less power draw from the outlet and as a result less power is wasted as heat. For a high end PSU such as this, Titanium certification is a big plus. Modular cable systems are nearly ubiquitous on power supplies these days save for a few low budget options. There are a plethora of cable options which are supplied in a black bag for storage. A nice touch that Corsair added was different modular cables for straight and right-angle SATA power cables. I can't tell you how annoyed I would be when only one type would be supplied therefore limiting power cable management so this is a big plus. Velcro and cable ties are also included to proper cable management. A 10 year warranty is included which is top notch for PSUs in it's class. There is always an extremely slight chance that a power supply will fail including a high end model such as the AX850 making a 10 year warranty much appreciated.
Cons: None that I could think of
Overall Review: The magnetic colored badges that stick to the side are a nice touch though I feel they should have included green in the mix to work with a green build. A floppy connector is included just in case for anyone who still finds use in the archaic storage medium. I swapped out my old Seasonic 750 for this unit just to check if it even started and to test for fan noise. Installation was pretty simple though I feel that anyone using a mid-tower rig may have trouble due to the extended dimensions of this unit. I am currently running a full-tower case which fit snug. This power supply is mainly meant for those looking to build a high end rig due to the power draw that many high end components such as the CPU and GPUs require. With the provided safety specs, modular cables, and 10 year warranty you can't go wrong with this unit for your build.
Pros: The CORSAIR AX850 power supply has many positives including a high build quality of the hardware including high temperature rated Japanese capacitors, ball bearing 135 mm fan. The fan has a zero RPM mode, remaining silent for up to about half the power rating (425 W) and is therefore nearly silent for many operation modes. There is a button on the back to turn on or off the zero RPM fan mode. Even when operational, the noise level is very low below 15 dBa. The 12 V single rail can output up to 70 A, which will more than meet my foreseeable needs. There is built in over voltage protection, and other review sites show it is possible to go several hundred watts above the rated wattage before over power protection engaged, showing this easily handles 850 W. The titanium rating is the highest rating in the 80 PLUS and this PSU can achieve in the low 90% efficiency depending on input voltage and load. The warranty is very attractive at 10 years, an order of a magnitude better than low end power supplies with a 1 year warranty. Even the packaging with black bag and labelled canvas storage bag for the modular cabling is included. It makes for easy cable management when you only include the cables you need. It is a backwards compatible as possible, even including a floppy connector – although I do not see myself using that anytime soon. Red, white, and blue magnetic side labels are also included, in addition to the light grey label on the side of the power supply. Branded Velcro table and zip ties are included along with a case badge and detailed manual.
Cons: It is difficult to find a con with this power supply. The length dimension is about 6.7 inches, longer than a typical lower wattage power supply that might be about 5.5 inches. In most cases this won’t matter, but it might matter in a small case such as those used for home theater that accept ATX power supplies. There was no issue installing in a typical mid tower case.
Overall Review: There is no RGB lighting and is a clean and sleek looking power supply. It has been stable at any load situation used with it so far, and I expect the same for the next decade.
Pros: The PSU is oftentimes an overlooked component by many, but my advise is simple... always go one step up in wattage and buy the most efficient available (Titanium in this case). Buying the most efficient will guarantee you several things... 1) They will be built with the best quality components. (required to meet the efficiency standards) 2) They will operate much cooler. (higher efficiency = less energy wasted as heat) 3) They will run quieter! (the fan doesn't need to turn on until serious juice is being pulled since it runs so cool) 4) They will save you money on your power bill. (not going to get rich off of it, but a savings nonetheless) Corsair provides a cable "organizer" that rolls up conveniently for storage, so you're never left hunting for a supply cable if you need it in the future. They also supply plenty of zip ties and a couple velcro cable straps. As always with every Corsair power supply I've ever used - their modular system is top notch. 10-year warranty is wonderful as well. Oh - and in case you're curious... the OEM for this power supply is Seasonic.
Cons: None.
Overall Review: I'd absolutely recommend this PSU for anyone!
Pros: It's an affordable semi-high wattage PSU with Titanium ranking. It keeps my Vega 56 powered and it'll provide enough wattage for a Ryzen 9. Plus I like the visual look of it in my system, along with the colored wattage magnets. Not to forget a 10 year warranty if something happens.
Cons: It is big and heavy, but these shouldn't be issues for most systems that would end up using this PSU. Though the 24-pin cable was too big for the cable management hole in my case; a Fractal Design Focus G.
Overall Review: I'd strongly recommend this for a PSU, as it'll last you for a really long time.
Pros: I have always used Corsair in all my builds and have had NO problems. Including many years down the line. So how do you say it anything better. I recommend them because I have had good luck with them, the power is and has been in the ranges specified and have served me many years. The capacitors are usually the thing that causes many problems and they use the best in the business so no one will have problems now or in the future. Another thing in power surges they do seem to survive also, since I have had a few got through some things that destroyed many other electronic items.
Cons: The price is a bit high but no more than any other and in this case you get what you pay for.
Overall Review: I Always recommend Corsair psu's they work, their reliable, they fit, and are easy to configure and include all the cables you would need. I did question the size in a mid tower case but it fit perfectly and could not have been better. Power is in the exact range it needs to be without enough deviation to matter.
Pros: I tested this unit on a power supply tester it was rock solid. Reading the reviews, suggested that the AX850 would live up to it's platinum ratings. The unit is quiet, after running Prime 95 for 72 minutes the unit was not warm. No question that this unit will deliver the headroom the overclocked video card and cpu will need. Appreciate the way the cables are package.
Cons: The cables are sleeved in such a way that they have an irregular, untidy look.
Overall Review: Very good power supply, all indications that it is robustly built. I would highly recommend the AX850.

Pros: I was not disappointed with this power supply. Let me start off by saying that when you are looking for a power supply you want it to deliver clean and stable power to your computer. If you do not have that, you will have problems. Nowhere is that more evident than when your computer is under heavy loads. Corsair understands that. The AX850 showed very little fluctuation in the voltages levels while under heavy use. Titanium efficiency rating is a good thing to have. A power supply converts AC power from the wall socket to DC power that your computer can use. During that conversion, some power is lost in the form of heat. Just how much power is lost is based on efficiency. The higher the efficiency, the lower the amount of power lost. This means that less heat is generated. The power supply is also quiet when compared with similar offerings from other companies. The reason the unit is quiet is because at low loads, the fan does not spin. When the load increases, the fan spins up but it is quiet by design. The 135mm fan has fluid bearings, which means there is a thin layer of pressurized fluid that the keeps the fan quiet and vibration free. The AX850 comes with a good selection of fully modular cables. There are plenty of SATA cables and 3 of the PCI-E dual connector 8pin (6+2) cables. There are a plethora of safety features built in: Over voltage protection, Over current protection, Over temperature protection and Short circuit protection Corsair tops it all off with a 10 year warranty. That means they have confidence in the product they are delivering.
Cons: None I can think of.
Overall Review: If you are going to put this into your existing case, you need to measure to ensure you have enough space for it. The power supply is longer than what you might expect. I had no issues in my case. This might be a tight fit in a smaller case. I used this in a SLI setup gaming system and it performed exceedingly well. I tested it running 3d benchmarks and in a real word situation while I gamed. I would not hesitate to recommend that someone consider this power supply for their gaming system needs.
