Pros: Smooth, smooth, good tracking, comfortable, protective sleeve on cable does not twist and bind
Cons: I do not like the dpi adjustment on the bottom at all, I'll rant below
Overall Review: I have, have had many mice from many brands including the cheapest to the most expensive and yet I have never had a mouse glide so smooth across multiple surfaces. I have been using skates on my mice on all of my pc's and yet this mouse is the smoothest I have. In the pictures you can see my double sided corsair Gaming mouse pad and my glass one as these are my two favorite for gaming and I change them out depending on my game play. To the Con Here is my major hissy fit--- The dpi adjustment is on the bottom of the mouse and that does not work for me as sure I can spend lots of time adjusting each game for the mouse so I don't have to change on the fly and can still window out for work or-- I also load my brothers account and wife's etc and can't set them up for me so I use , You get the point.. I feel that is just lazy manufacturing I mean why have adjustable dpi if you have to pick up the mouse to adjust it as you could just use software. This baby is smooth and am excited to use it in new games./and work
Pros: Long, snag-resistant cable Very light-weight Zero-gap buttons for instant click recognition L.E.D. underneath for quick read of current mouse resolution Resolution adjustment button under mouse Comfortable in the hand Great software Good warranty Customizable buttons Customizable resolution on both x and y axis Ability to read different surfaces and store them for better tracking. Slippery feet Decent price Intentional button feel Good wheel feel in between rotations
Cons: All black No horizontal tilt wheel No resolution button on top
Overall Review: These days, I dont game as much as I used to so I generally dont go out of my way to get special mice. I now realize theres a lot of features Im missing and that even though I dont play as often, I should probably still invest in accessories like this; if for nothing else but to get a few more frags and better numbers in-game. I tested this out with Splitgate and had a blast. This thing can be thrown around like crazy due to the light weight, slippery feet, and ultra-high 18k dpi resolution laser underneath. I love that the cord is woven in such a way as to not get snagged on things around the desk. I played with it on a laptop with the USB on the other side and it just doesnt get caught around my laptops corner! The mouse clicks on all buttons are satisfying they have zero-gap tech. Basically it means the mouse clicks as soon as you do. Theres no gap between the click sensor and the board and also no gap between the mouse button itself and the click sensor. Good for quick-fire shots! Scroll wheel is rubber coated and the rotation clicks are solid and easily identifiable. No slip on this wheel and you no by feel exactly how many rotations youre making. Same goes for the wheel clicked down. It requires a decent pressure to prevent accidental clicks but not so much that you miss the click all together. Good balance here. Side buttons feel good, I just wish they were a little lower on the mouse side. As for location front-to-back, theyre just right for me. The button underneath the mouse to adjust resolution is cool. I love that it has 6 preset settings for resolution so you can switch on-the-fly and see what works better instantly. What really makes the mouse shine is the software. The ability of adjustment on this mouse in software is what really sets it apart. You can adjust all the buttons to your liking and hot-key them. You can change the preset dpi buttons resolution in the app. Not only can you assign different dpi to the default 6 colors available, but each axis can be adjusted separately! Want your X axis at 18k dpi but your Y at 200 dpi? You can do itand save it to to a color and that button underneath. Want more customization? No problem. How about being able to change that button denoting dpi level to any color in the rgb spectrum. Yup. Doable. The software can also record your surface type and adjust the sensor for it! Software should always enhance the hardware and I feel it does that here very well. So what didnt it do well? Well, for me, I wish it had a splash of color somewhere. Some of their other mice at least light up the logo (even though your hand covers it, having that would be cool to look at with a custom PC sitting idle but on.) I guess some people want it completely blacked out, software could do that (and with other mice likely does). Ive come accustomed to having a tilt left and right wheel for web pages or documents that are too wide. This would be a nice feature to have as well. I also wish for quicker changes of dpi, that they found a way to add it somewhere on top of the mouse. Flipping it over doesnt take long, but it also means you cant change it mid-match, if needed. Having it slight out of the way on top without being able to accidentally click it, would make it ideal. If the LED is a concern, have it light up the color associated to the dpi, then turn off after 3 seconds. Again, all customizable via software. These cons are nit-picks. Its pretty tough to find things wrong with this device. All this customization for the asking price of $60 is a really strong value. Very good hardware, excellent software, and a great warranty of 2 years? Sign me up! While your at it, sign yourself up as I dont think youd be disappointed with one of these in your hand!
Pros: Mouse is extremely lightweight overall, which is great for FPS titles Paracord braided cable is soft and flexible and includes integrated Velcro wrap for travel Extremely short travel distance for primary button switches, combined with Button Response Optimization in Corsair iCUE software settings (Windows only) Size and texture is suitable for claw style grips, although a palm grip is probably more comfortable All button assignments are customizable via iCUE software, including assigning custom macros or launching an app Six distinct DPI presets are programmable in increments as low as 1 pixel using iCUE. Each preset represented by a different LED color on the bottom of the mouse. Presets can be written directly to the hardware On-the-fly DPI settings can be quickly made in increments of 50 without the need for iCUE Polling rate for the high quality PixArt sensor can be adjusted from 125Hz up to 8KHz (watch out for increased CPU usage with higher rates) Angle Snapping setting makes it easier to track targets that are moving horizontal across the screen The PFTE Teflon pads are incredibly low resistance the mouse slides like its on ice!
Cons: Corsair iCUE software is cumbersome and heavy on system resources. Be sure to disable it in your Startup applications and only use it when making changes Manual DPI switch is located on the bottom of the mouse instead of say, behind the scroll wheel like a normal person Primary switches are a bit on the noisier side No LED indicators on the topside of the mouse whatsoever to even indicate its getting power Not enough resistance or tactile feedback in the scroll wheel, which makes it easy to overshoot your intended stopping point
Overall Review: Overall, this is a great mouse for FPS games and general use. I can have this mouse sitting at my desk in my office and it doesnt stand out like a typical gaming mouse its very discrete. At home, its 2nd to none for performance. The 8KHz polling rate is phenomenal and makes those flick-shots so much more accurate. While the iCUE software needs some work, it has all the right features that someone could need to customize the functionality. Just turn it off when your done so its not chewing through your physical memory and processor. I would definitely recommend this mouse to a friend. Thanks to Newegg.com and Corsair for providing the review sample. If you found my product review helpful in your search, please check Yes below. Thanks!
Pros: Very Comfortable Extremely fast and crisp clicks on all buttons. DPI indicator on the bottom of the mouse Lightweight/plug and play in Win 10 iCue software is available from Corsair This mouse has such a nice feel to it and it is pretty low weight, all-around a great mouse for gaming or just computer tasks.
Cons: Could have had some lighting effects DPI button on the bottom of the mouse
Overall Review: I would recommend this mouse to my best friends The USB cord is a little over six feet in length. The mouse is extremely light. Seems to work on any surface I have big hands and this mouse fits me perfectly. All buttons work as expected. On the bottom of the mouse, is a DPI button and a led indications light to show you what DPI setting youre in. (refer to booklet for color values) The color of the led lets you know what DPI setting you are in The mouse wheel is notched and the wheel has a switch, On the left side of the mouse are two buttons used for forwarding and backward
Pros: Extremely lightweight. This is the first thing I noticed when I took it out of the box, and I love it! Mouse doesn't feel cheap either. The mouse also glides easily across my mouse mat. Supports up to 8,000 Hz polling rates for a 0.125ms response time. Not sure if I can feel any difference between my 1,000 Hz 1ms mouse, but it's great to know if I die in a game, it's not due to my mouse. Software allows you to easily customize all the buttons to your liking and toggle various settings such as DPI, polling rates, etc.
Cons: DPI toggle button is underneath the mouse, and only cycles through. This is very inconvenient for on the fly switching, and if you accidentally cycle past the setting you want, you can't simply go back and must go through the entire cycle again. Braided cord isn't fit to the inside wires. Its loosely around them and feels bad in the hand. Additionally, while the mouse glides nice and smoothly, the cord drags too much for my personal liking (my main gaming mouse is wireless though, so this may not bother wired gamers). It's highly recommended you get a mouse bungee to reduce the drag. Software is big and heavy. iCUE takes up over a gigabyte of space.
Overall Review: Price for 8Hz polling rate and highly customizable software is great. This alone I highly recommend this mouse. If 8hz polling rate isn't a big deal to you, you may want to look elsewhere.
Pros: great shape ( if you have big hand ) good quality fixable cable 8k you can feel it if you have enough fps and high hz monitor great sensor
Cons: the only cons is Corsair software is more than 2gb and very heavy just to change the dpi i saved my settings and uninstalled it
Overall Review: i recommend this mouse at this price there is nothing better at this price its one of the best mice i ever used
Pros: Classically shaped for palm and claw grippers. Buttons strike right away and return just as fast Wheel is detented which I prefer Nice pamphlet pointing out all the features, buttons and lights Corsair Forums are good Two Year Warranty for a Gaming mouse is very good. They take a lot of abuse
Cons: 787 MB iCUE software download, really? Some nice videos on how to setup the CH-9303101 within iCUE BUT the video cuts out if I go to the software to do as directed. This can be alleviated if I watch on YouTube but it would be better not to have this problem at all.
Overall Review: The importance of the mouse cannot be overstated. It is how the brain inputs it's decisions into actions on the screen. The brain works very fast and the mouse must turn those decisions into actions almost instantaneously. To do this the mouse must move unencumbered on it's surface (I use a branded mouse pad) click easy over a large area (the buttons) and be fully customizable. I have been using the CH-9303101 for three weeks now and have found but one thing in the hardware I don't like and that is purely cosmetic. It is all one color. The Corsair logo is shiny but hard to see. Branding is important so it should be visible. The mouse itself has worked flawlessly. It is large, I have small hands but it has not mattered a bit. This means to me mouse size does not matter as much as some guys think. I have not missed a click or a scroll while gaming or doing mundane computing tasks. The CH-9303101 has an optical sensor. I don't think having a laser sensor is "better" (produce more of the desired effect) it is a matter of preference. 8,000Hz polling rate, 18,000 DPI, Quickstrike buttons with fast actuation, PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene) glide pads for smooth movement, a drag-reducing paracord (braided sheath) cable, a lightweight design. The features that define the CH-9303101 gaming mouse advantages are: Sensitivity-The higher the resolution, the more sensitive your mouse will be...how many pixels your mouse pointer will move on screen for every inch you move the mouse SteelSeries Engine 3 has two ( X and Y ?) dials, sliders, settings for CPI or counts per inch. The dial starts at 250 and moves up to 4000. A very wide range. The selected value though can't be 2145 because the dial moves only in predefined increments of 8 steps. On the upper right corner of the Sensitivity, Angle Snapping and Polling Rate software adjusters is a very small question mark. Hovering the mouse pointer over the question mark produces a popup explaining what each is. That's good feature though obscurely placed. Acceleration/Deceleration - Movement is based on speed. If the mouse moves 1 inch, slowly, it'll move one distance. If you move it fast over that same inch, it'll move a lot farther. Angle Sampling- Analyzes mouse movement in real time and helps straighten your lines. Said to be beneficial when sniping. Polling Rate- the rate at which the computer is updated with the position of the mouse pointer All the above are easily adjustable via iCUE The iCUE let's the user define a per game (profile )setup file. That's a necessary feature. I set it up without need of a manual. To confirm the engine translates to the game. I set "Angle Sampling" to MAX and popped into Far Cry 5, scanned the sniper rifle along the ocean horizon and back. There was no drift I could discern. Of importance in gaming mice is the sensor. Laser or Optical. CH-9303101 sensor is optical. Lasers are employed on more expensive units but aren't necessarily better I am not going back to the Rival 100. The CH-9303101 is my new day in day out mouse. I like it that much. As far as no manual (it's important to have a complete and thorough manual) all the data that might be put in a manual maybe covered in the software. Take some time with it...remember it's a program that needs to be learned. If you want a gaming mouse and don't think 50 bucks is too much ( I don't) I can't think of any reason not to get the CH-9303101. It fits nicely in my small hand, the angle I hold my hand at makes it easy to click all the buttons. After time, if the hand is held at an unnatural angle such as with mice that look more like monsters joint pain after hundreds or thousands of clicks is an issue...if not now then in 5 years. Thank You, Newegg and Corsair.
