This Will Be a Hit or Miss Mouse3/4/2019 6:26:38 AM
Pros: Before I begin let me throw this out there: If you have small hands or don't like a claw grip on a mouse, stop reading; move onto another product. This is not the mouse for you!
With that out of the way...
- This mouse is bigger than your typical gaming mouse. Not dramatically bigger, but big enough where those of us with larger hands will enjoy the comfortable grip this mouse provides.
- Convex shape to the left and right mouse buttons. Your fingers settle into the mouse. It's kind of hard to describe but for me it was such a nice feeling the first time I used this mouse. It's first time I've had a mouse that "fit like a glove" if that makes any sense!
- Rubberized/Textured grip. I’m a fan of this, but I know some people don’t like this coarse of a grip on a mouse. Buyer beware.
- Typical buttons for a gaming mouse. They can be reprogrammed through the rather horrible software if you so chose.
Cons: I have really only have 2 minor gripes with this mouse.
This is so, so nit-picky but the height of the center mouse button (top one) makes for an occasional mis-click. Look at the picture and you’ll see it does stand out a bit further than need be. It’s so rare that I do it though, but it’s worth mentioning.
iCue software… It really gets old when I plug a new piece of Corsair hardware in and the software tells me there’s a problem with it; then I need to reinstall the software again to get it to work like the last time I switched from one Corsair headset to another or one Corsair keyboard to another…
It works fine when it works but literally every mouse, keyboard, and headset I’ve used on each of my desktops always has a problem when something new is plugged in.
On top of that, the software loads slow. My PC is up and running in seconds, but I usually have to wait another 5-10 for the mouse settings to load. Same when I lock my PC. Once you unlock there's a few seconds before the software seems to tell the mouse what settings it's supposed to have. This doens't happen with any other software/hardware except for iCue.
Overall Review: The quick and dirty for this mouse goes like this: You will love it or hate it. There is no in between for this type of design. If I had to review this mouse for general use I'd easily give it 2 eggs. However, as a claw grip gaming mouse I love it. Enough so that it is now the mouse I use on my gaming rig.
Only advice I can give you is to literally read through EVERY review on this mouse and make the call from there. If you don't feel like taking the risk, there are a lot of other great mice to choose from by Corsair.
I really like this mouse but the software lets it down in a big way.2/26/2019 7:04:58 AM
Pros: Mouse itself is super lightweight and feels pretty well built. The scroll wheel is kind of nice being that it's large and textured as opposed to the smooth ones on many other mice out there. The mouse feet are massive and seem to do a great job at not getting hung up on the surface they're on. Braided cables seem to be the standard, but I can appreciate that this mouse has one, and that it’s really long. They even included a little cable strap, which is also a nice touch.
Ergonomics wise, I like the feel of this mouse. I also think that those with especially large hands would find it reasonably comfortable as well. While on the subject, the buttons on the left side of the mouse are also in a decent spot for where my thumb comes to rest.
Overall, I feel like Corsair did a good job on the look and feel of this mouse and I honestly can’t really fault them for any of that.
Cons: Oh boy, here we go. So, this mouse is pretty much entirely let down by the iCue software and the fact that it isn’t capable of storing any of its own settings onboard the mouse. That means, any settings you configure in the software aren’t active until the software boots up. It’s pretty obvious when first starting up or rebooting the computer it’s plugged in as it goes back to its default behavior straight away.
Along these same lines, sometimes the iCUE software seems to just freak out and change my DPI preset. So, say I have the mouse set to 2, all of a sudden, mid-move, it’ll jump to 3 for no real reason. I’ve tested the mouse without the software installed and it doesn’t seem to do this. The second big thing you notice is that the mouse sort of goes back to its default operation every time you lock your machine. Also annoying and totally strange compared to almost every other “customizable mouse” I’ve encountered in my life.
Another strange quirk is that, on occasion, the mouse seems to forget what the side buttons are supposed to do when pressed. I blame this on the software as well since opening and closing the iCUE software on my computer resolves this every single time.
Overall Review: I wanted to really give this mouse high marks because I really like the way it feels in the hand. It’s also really well built. Sadly, after messing with this software on two different computers, I have no choice but to give it a less than stellar rating.
Pros: Comfortable for large hand over long periods. Great for accuracy.
GOOD tracking by default.
Cons: Software update erased my keyboard settings.
You can forget about making the up/down clickers volume. You get the lamest options ever.
Top if off with ZERO memory to store your settings. The buttons do whatever they want until they're loaded into active system memory.
Side buttons need your whole hand to squeeze them.
LEDs not worth description except they're NOT all fully programable.
By default the buttons are wack programmed. Meaning you have to go through their software hell to make it work. A decent default layout would have helped, but it's defaulted to demo-mode.
Rubber thumb and finger rests are sticky but make your fingers literally sweat.
Overall Review: Stay away from this thing. I dunno what to do with it now as all my enemies are dead.
This is a crud mouse for the price.
Cons: I am using this mouse for 5 months and the dongle stopped working and i am not even doing anything with it. It is attached on my pc the whole time then now i cannot even update it.
Pros: Extremely comfortable mouse to use withe either a palm grip or a claw grip. My grip is somewhat in the middle of those. The shape is extremely comfortable and all the buttons are within reach except for the sniper button. Lighting effects are good and you can do a lot with them in software. Connectivity options are fantastic, being able to use the mouse on it's 2.4ghz is superb but also having the ability to bluetooth and use a USB cable are great for this price range. The sensor is extremely accurate and you can adjust it within 1 dpi increments to really fine tune everything. Software can be configured to load certain profiles for certain games. Battery life is pretty good.
Cons: iCue can be a little finicky and hard to get used to, but once you learn all of it's nuances and how to really configure it, it's quite good. Which isn't a knock so much against the mouse as it is the software.
The sniper button is an annoying spot. I don't play a lot of game that require so it's my primary push to talk for discord (mapped to tilde). It's generally easier to hit this with the index finger than the thumb. Crashing does occur and I had plenty of times when the profiles wouldn't work.
Be nice if the battery wasn't built in. Means you can't replace it when the lithium loses it's ability to hold a charge.
Overall Review: This is a great mouse and I would recommend it for anyone with larger hands or likes to have plenty of options to configure buttons or for connectivity.
Overall Review: Fantastic feeling, well placed ergonomic buttons but the main mouse button started double clicking within 2 weeks. All other buttons feel cheap and flimsy.

Cons: I bought this mouse top replace a two year old Corsair Sabre RGB mouse because the scroll wheel broke. In less than three weeks the scroll wheel on this one failed in the exact same place!
Decent mouse in general but the scroll wheel ruins it completely10/26/2019 10:37:31 AM
Pros: - Large and comfortable
- It's nice having the option between 2.4 GHz wireless, bluetooth, and wired
- Lots of buttons
Cons: The scroll wheel is absolutely awful. It often goes the wrong way when scrolling and is the only reason I returned it a few days after having it. I got a replacement and it had the same issue, so it's not a fluke.
Overall Review: While I would have loved to recommend this mouse, I unfortunately cannot. I wish Corsair hadn't cut corners with the scroll wheel because apart from that, I think this is a great mouse.
