General information

Low Noise

80 PLUS Bronze certified efficiency and clever fan design allow for little or no detectable fan noise during regular operation.

General information

Ample Connectors and Long Cables

Long cables make CX Series suitable for installation even in full-height tower cases, and the generous cable count allows you to power multiple components and storage devices.

Corsair Engineering and Quality Control

Every Corsair power supply is designed by their California engineering team and built to their exact specifications. The same care that goes into the design and testing of the renowned high-power enthusiast power supplies also goes into the CX Series, because you need confidence and reliability regardless of your build budget.

General information

Large-Diameter, Thermally Controlled Fan

Once you’ve installed a PSU, you shouldn’t have to think about it. Employing a thermally controlled fan makes the CX Series virtually silent at idle, and the large diameter reduces noise even when you’re pushing your system hard.

Black Goes with Everything

You’re building a PC, not a battleship, and appearance counts. The matte black finish and all-black sleeved cables and connectors help give your system a high-tech, restrained look.

Overall Review: Overall great! Always used Corsair power supply. Very consistent quality and usually reasonably good (mid tier) quality where ever I buy them.

Adequate I guess 10/8/2018 9:06:36 PM

Pros: Got it on sale and it's better than a 250 or 300 watt unit.

Cons: Not modular.

Overall Review: Bought it to replace a PSU in my son's emachine but when he finally brought the computer over it turned out to be a worn out power switch on the PC case. So I still have this PSU not opened waiting for some build I'll do down the road.

Fan did not last 1/31/2018 1:09:50 PM

Pros: Bought this item on 10/13/2016.

Cons: Worked flawlessly until recently. The main power supply cooling fan is now noisy, as if the fan bearings are shot / out of alignment.

Overall Review: The loud noise will stop if I give the computer a good whack.
(yes, I know for sure it's the power supply fan)

Great Product until it breaks 1/23/2018 11:30:09 AM

Pros: - Beautiful color
- Good strong cables

Cons: Unfortunately, the first time came DOA, new egg replaced and paid for the shipping, 3 month later, goes bad again, corsair offer it to repair it or replaced, but i have to pay for shipping, and that's is not on top of my time wasted opening an RMA, but the other expenses taking it to be shipped etc. Its just not worth it, by the 3rd time, i would've spent more money than what the value of this product is. Sounds to me you are trying to compete with other companies for cheaper prices at the cost of the customer. This product should't be on the market if you can't warranty a year of function.

Overall Review: No, i can't recommend a company that will give you more headaches then the value they are offering.

Either not compatible with H97M-G43 / 4590 or died after warranty... 12/8/2017 2:31:02 PM

Pros: .

Cons: .

Overall Review: Purchased it for a backup system. But rarely turned it on in the past five years. When I want to make use of it on my H97M-G43 and 4590 with no dedicated video card, the machine randomly reboots. If I use another PSU, the machine works fine. So the problem is likely this PSU.

CX430 Good product but only lasted 2 months 11/12/2017 6:58:50 AM

Pros: I liked the longer braided cables, I liked the design of the power supply. It was easy to install and connect to all peripherals. The wires seem to be all updated for more recent components, didn't need any adapters.

Cons: I started noticing that under zero load, the system was rebooting. I checked the window logs and confirmed that the power supply seemed to be failing. It would simply reboot itself every 7 days or so and it never happened while I was using it. I let it go but today, I went to use it and I really needed it today and they system was off. I pressed the power button and the light just flashed. I unplugged and the light just simply flashed. I tried plugging the system into a different outlet, with a new cord, still didn't work. I can hear the fans barely moving when I turn it on too. It is fried. I can't believe it lasted only 2 months. I'm not so happy I have to replace the thing today.

Overall Review: I bought it in 2013, and just stated using it just this year. I can't trust the Corsair brand, unless they offer a replacement. I thought it was equal to other high end power supplies but obviously it's not made to last.
