The Corsair 25nm-based Force Series SSD product line (model number that ends in "-A") offers maximum performance for your ultimate system with up to a maximum read speed of 280 MB/s and write speed of 270 MB/s. Based on the SandForce controller and the next generation 25nm IC technology, the Corsair Force Series SSD's are the ultimate performance drive for your demanding storage requirements. Your system will start-up faster, applications and games will load quicker and you will see a huge improvement in overall system responsiveness. If speed is what you are looking for and what you expect from your performance or gaming system, the Corsair Force Series SSD's are the perfect choice.

  • newegg SSD Storage Technology Unlike traditional hard disk drives, SSDs have no moving parts, resulting in a quiet, cool, highly reliable storage solution that also offers faster application loading and system responsiveness. And for laptops and netbooks, the lower power needs of SSD’s translate to extended battery life. Higher performance with more durability means you can be truly mobile with confidence.
  • newegg Better Performance Built with MLC NAND flash and the latest generation SandForce controller, the Corsair Force Series F115 delivers world-class SSD reliability, performance, and power efficiency, with maximum sequential read speed of 280 MB/s and maximum sequential write speed of 270 MB/s, plus incredible random 4K write performance of 50,000 IOPS (4K aligned).
  • newegg TRIM Support The Corsair Force Series SSD’s offer TRIM support than can be enabled in Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2. Designed to maintain the performance of SSD at an optimal level over the lifetime of the drive, TRIM functions by actively deleting invalid data from the SSD’s memory cells to ensure that write operations perform at full speed. Since a memory block must be erased before it can be re-programmed, TRIM improves performance by pro-actively erasing pages containing invalid data, allowing the SSD to write new data without first having to perform a time-consuming erase command.
  • newegg 2.5" to 3.5" Adapter Included The Corsair Force Series features a standard 2.5-inch form factor for compatibility with notebooks and select desktops. A 2.5-inch to 3.5-inch mounting bracket is included with the SSD for compatibility with standard hard drive mounting.

Died without warning today 12/6/2014 3:14:45 PM

Pros: Great SSD while it lasted (had it for about 3 years). Fast, solid performance.

Cons: The drive died without warning today. It was literally working just fine a few hours ago, reading and writing data like a champ. Then I had to reboot my machine, and BOOM, boot drive not detected. At least failing traditional hard drive will give you some indicators they are dying (multiple BSODs, corrupt blocks on the drive, strange noises) before they go. This drive died without any indicators of any sort :(

Overall Review: Because of my experience, I cannot in good consciousness recommend this drive to anyone. If you are currently using this (and possible other Corsair Force series drives from the same gen.), backup all of your data immediately and switch to a new SSD.

I had high hopes for this drive... but... 4/30/2014 10:35:12 AM

Pros: The drive was super fast while it worked. Fast boot, and fast access while it was working. I suspect SLC or MLC Flash at work while I had it. But.......

Cons: Since Flash is limited to write cycles (10k) for SLC, and less for MLC. I knew not to be constantly deleting and installing files. That is why I set a a traditional raid configured HDD to keep my data. The only installation I did on this drive was WIndows 7 and three games. The rest of the data is stored in my trusty 3.5" drives. That being said, I expected the lifetime of this drive to last at least ten years since I am only reading the data for the most part. Last night, it suddenly died (random unable to recognize drive, or when recognized.. failed windows installation). What was bad is the warranty is 3 years, and the drive failed exactly 3 years and 1 month. That made me extremely suspicious and frustrated. Perhaps the drive had bad firmware while SATA3.0 technology was new back then, but it is definately not flash that is worn out. It is sad to waste so much money on a drive that did not deliver or even on par with a traditional 3.5" HDD. I am very disappointed as I expect the best from Corsair (their Powersupply, memory, PC case still works flawlessly).

Overall Review: I wish they would extend the warranty due to a firmware bug that might have set the wear leveling wrong. 3 years 1 month of just read access seems even short for TLC NAND flash.

Fast until it died. 4/17/2014 3:11:57 PM

Pros: Major upgrade from 5400RPM when bought 2.5 years ago. Worked well for 2.5 years...

Cons: Died yesterday without warning after 2.5 years of good services. Warranty is 3 years on those.. should get an RMA. You can't rely on those for your files. ALWAYS have a backup - data extraction from a dead SSD is almost impossible.

Lasted 2 years, 3 months 11/7/2013 6:09:21 PM

Pros: Sped up my PC's boot time.

Cons: Died in less than 3 years without warning. Got a BSOD one day while system was booting up. Restarted PC, but then drive could not be even detected.

Overall Review: Pulled drive and tried accessing it via an external drive caddy. Not detected. Drive is dead and useless.

What can I say... 12/29/2012 1:26:55 PM

Pros: Fast when works -
overall speeds were sufficient for me,
it was my first SSD experience and it was
a great replacement for my HDDs.

Cons: Had two drives that died:
1st died in 2-3 weeks
2nd died in 20 months ( 1 and 1/3 of a year)

Had problems installing both drives due to BIOS
detection... might not be a drive's fault, but
I have other company's SSDs that I had no problems with so far

It dies alot 10/27/2012 9:22:30 AM

Pros: Its fast, its SSD, its fairly cheap.

Cons: It dies alot. I've had to RMA this drive 3 times. First time it died in 5 months, second time it died in 8 months, third time it died in 4 months.

I was running newest firmware and all the SSD win7 tweaks: trim, ahci, moved temp/page files, no sleep, etc

Corsair customer support is lacking. This last time I RMA'ed my drive they sent me back a refurbished drive WITHOUT the friggin mounting bracket that was originally included, so now I have no mounting bracket and a unreliable refurbished drive... for shame corsair... for same!!

Get a samsung

Overall Review: read the reviews on the samsung drives.. they are worth the extra money.
