Built for SpeedCorsair’s Force Series GT uses the new SandForce SF-2280 controller with native support for SATA 6Gb/s, combined with ONFI synchronous flash memory. Force Series GT SSDs deliver outstanding read/write performance and significantly faster system response, boot times, and application load times than SATA 2 solid-state drives, with out-of-box performance of up to 85K Random Write IOPS, read speeds of up to 555MB/s. The Force Series GT is particularly adept at moving compressed data. You'll appreciate this real-world benefit if you work with music, movie and graphics files.
SSD Benefits – Reliability, Cool and Quiet, with Low Power ConsumptionBecause SSDs have no moving parts, they can handle shock, vibration and temperature changes far in excess of traditional hard drives. That's important for desktop PCs, and essential for notebooks. Traditional mechanical hard drives spin at thousands of revolutions per minute. This takes power, and generates noise and heat. Since SSDs have no moving parts, there's no noise or vibration, and the lower power consumption helps keep things cool inside your PC.
Trim SupportThe Force Series GT SSDs feature support for the Windows 7 TRIM command. This allows them to store only the data they need and perform memory optimization to ensure the fastest possible write speeds.
3.5" AdapterAll Force Series GT SSDs are backward compatible with SATA 3Gb/s. The 2.5" form factor allows for installation in most notebook PCs with no adapter required. If you're adding a Force Series GT SSD to your desktop PC, use the included 3.5" adapter to mount it in any standard hard drive bay.

Pros: I have used this model SSD as the OS drive in several servers, DVR's and desktops for customers in recent months. The performance is right up there with all but the highest-end SSD's, but at a much more reasonable price.
Cons: I think the red case is kind of gaudy, but that has absolutely nothing to do with the reason people buy SSD's: performance, about which I can find no reason to complain.
Overall Review: Those of you who find the Performance Pro's price too hard/hot and the Nova's performance too soft/cold will find this SSD just right.
Cons: ive had this since it's rellease and it started slowing so I did all the normal things including updating firmware and so I decided to do windows experience to verify what was happening and it is at 7.7 now. even my sata2 ssd's (I have many ssd's and have ran ssd's since they were new.) anyhow, even my sata 2 ones read at 7.9 I have same operating system with different settings on this and another one that has "real ssd's"/hint and all around it smokes this.
Overall Review: I have never had problems with any ssd ever until this one and I run them on gaming servers, home pc's work pc's. my main drives hold nothing but operating system ....side note I tried this on 3 of my pc's with same results and umm yes trim is on ahci blah blah. I actually know what I'm doing
Pros: Rediculously fast, easy install, comes with 3.5" hdd bay adapter
Cons: non as of yet
Overall Review: Used this in my rig and made a clean install of windows 7 to raid it with a 1TB Barricuda HDD through Intel Smart Respone Technology. I have it running on the slower but safer of the two accelerated modes and in handles my system awesomly. It boots my computer from cold to operational in like less than twenty seconds and runs the minor gaming I do smoothly. Would recommend to a friend.
Pros: Extremely fast. I boot to the sign on screen of Windows in about 20 seconds. Read/Write speeds are as advertised, and it matches my color scheme (very important).
Cons: None that I can tell. A little under a year and still going strong.
Overall Review: Has just enough space for Windows 7 Ultimate and all my drivers, with 6 GB left over.
Pros: Much faster than a mechanical drive. Read and write speeds are off the chart fast. Gaming experienced has blossomed with this.... loading screens only take seconds to load. Highly recommend!
Cons: None, it was easy to install and have had zero problems.
Dont listen to the Nay sayers12/19/2011 5:08:17 PM
Pros: Great drive, i got this thing to test out the ssd band wagon, and its GREAT! programs launch fast, im on SATA II so i don't get the full potential of it, but even with half potential it is worth it. Files transfer quick, programs launch faster, windows installs faster... Don't listen to these nay sayers about this Corsair GT and their problems where it would not detect the hard drive after some reboot or what not, I had the same experience, all you have to do is EDIT YOUR BIOS! or CMOS. Its as simple as depending on your bios, adjusting the Hard drive load priority and boot priority... I set this one up with windows on it, and my other hard drive for a while, and i was able to switch the priority of the hard drive and essentially have two PCs in one box. This i did only for testing, and bought a 256GB corsair GT it too runs great!
Cons: None... other than the people i want to shun for reviewing easy problems that they do not understand or know how to fix.
Overall Review: I highly recomend the GT Corsair SSDs
Pros: This SSD is "crazy fast" & one of the best drives on the market & works as advertised. I wish people would STOP giving this drive poor reviews because they have no idea what they are doing !!! Using older utilities like Speccy that DON'T report drive info. or interface speed correctly IS the problem.......NOT this SSD. Second, if you are getting poor speed & slow performance.......it is most likely an issue with YOUR system or lack of knowledge about SSD's in gerneral NOT a problem with this product. I'm getting mid to high 500s (read) & mid to high 400s (write) on an AMD platform with SB850 chipset. I am totally addicted to this speed !!! Best single upgrade I've ever done to my PC. Windows Experience Index 7.9
Cons: No Cons as of yet & this SSD even comes with a 2.5" to 3.5" mounting bracket (most other SSD drives do not).
Pros: • SATAIII 6gb/s
• Over 550mb/s read speed
• Attractive styling/color
• Great price considering the performance
Cons: Unfortunately for me, I was only able to run these on my SATAII 3gb/s controller due to some issue that may be small and I am somehow over-looking.
I have a GA-X58A-OC Motherboard, and could not get these to function correctly in RAID0 on the Marvell SATAIII 6gb/s controller. I had to place them on the Intel SATAII 3gb/s controller. They produce a 530mb/s read speed in RAID0 in that configuration. The speed is still blazing fast, but I would have been 100% satisfied if they had worked on my 6gb/s controller.
No eggs removed for this as it is not Corsair's fault.
Be sure to check compatibility of your Raid controller before purchase if you plan on running these in Raid.
Apparently there are people out there with my motherboard that run these in Raid0 on the Marvell controller, maybe it needs new drivers/bios flash. Will look into this when I have time. Too many computers to build.
