Overpriced but only white cooler

Overall Review: Way too overpriced for performance, but it is the only white aio. It does look amazing though, but fans have a huge flaw in design as the rgb ring is only 1 side, if the fans are placed on the inner side of the tower, it can only be out take fans which is not optimal as it blows hot air through the radiator.

White is AiiiRight!

Pros: Given my White themed build with the Lian Li Dynamics - had to get an AIO in White!
Easy mounting options and perfect cable length for my case

Cons: None so far.

Overall Review: Trusted the pre applied thermal paste vs. adding more - Youtube said it is solid thermal paste!

Ok product when you don't have one of the coolers that came in the bad batch

Pros: - a corsair cooler that is known to perform well, for a premium in white with LL 120 fans.
- Looks amazing for any build that needs a white cooler

Cons: - Have to go through a poor RMA that requires me to go w/o a cooler for weeks.
- Only reason I found out that my cooler is faulty is due to gamernexus' youtube video, not from corsair or newegg

Overall Review: If I could get a full refund and buy another cooler I would. Extremely upset about the RMA process and I've been offered a t-shirt for the 'inconvenience' of having my PC be decommissioned. Until my cooler reaches corsair and then they decide to ship another back I don't have a working PC. I now have to buy another cooler til I get my replacement which is very unfortunate to say the least.

I've definitely learned to wait a little before buying corsairs new line of products

Huge Disappointment

Pros: LL Fans look great and work well

Cons: LED on Pump are not working
Loud noise

My goal was to replace my low profile CPU Cooler for my non overclocked i5 9600 K. Mainly for the looks and for quieter operations. To my surprise it was the opposite. Not under load my old system was whisper quite, with the new cooler installed it was already louder then before. Mainly because of the pump noise, not super loud but annoying. The LED on Pump never worked !!!. I checked on the Corsair forum and found out its seems to be a common issue on MSI Motherboards. The worst of all, while playing Far Cry the whole thing sounded like an Airplane taking off, even when set to quite. It did cool the CPU well but the sound, no thanks. So just after one day I went back to my old setup. I previously installed the LL fans and corsair led ram in my case and was really happy with it, but that Cooler was a huge let down.

Beautfil AIO Water Cooler

Pros: Great Cooling Performance

iCUE support

5 Year Warranty

Mounting support for all major high end socket chips Intel and AMD

Cons: Like any high end air or water cooler installation can always be a little tricky.

With this water cooler you should and make sure your case can support it and have a good plan of how your will mount and orientate the fans to maximize RGB fans visibility while also having it setup for maximum cooling potential.

My case I installed it in is an all tempered glass case,so from any installation point I have a view of the fans. I front mounted the water cooler so it intakes cool air from the front while venting inside side while a pair a ICUE fans are my air out takes on the back. Doing this shaved about 8c from load temps on my cpu (8700k) compared to top mounting. But everyone’s case and fans/air flow is different so don’t be afraid to experiment to find the best sweet spot.

Overall Review: I received the H100i RGB PLATINUM SE for review. This product has been a very enjoyable product. I’ve used other AIO (ALL in ONE) water coolers before, and this one brings visuals to another level. The Corsair iCUE software brings an extra level of lighting customization, and the ability to sync other iCUE compatible devices under one software package is great. The case I use has other Corsair fans and having the entire lighting on the fans and ram sticks all match is visual light show to be seen.

If you are familiar with water coolers, it’s the iCUE fans and color of this kit (the white fans, and radiator chassis) that make or break the build look. ICUE fans normal go for 35-40 a pop so while the price of the H100 Platinum SE may seem high when you take into account the fans it’s actually a fair price. Is it still pricey yes, but you get what you pay for. You buy this to bring a high end visual case setup to the next level.

As said in the cons like any high end air or water cooling installation takes the most planning. This comes with a lot of cables (for the pump, fans, RGB etc). Most modern high end boards have the power plugs for the pump and fans next to each other. You biggest consideration if weather you top mount or front mount. For me and my case front mounting provided superior cooling on my 8700k to the tune of 8c under prime95 load test runs. The cold air being pulled in rather the exhausting hot air out the top (this way the heat coming from the GPU wasn’t affecting the radiator like it would if top mounted).

If you are new to AIO there of plenty of videos to guide you through the installation process. If it’s your first time just go slowly, if you installed AIOs before it’s easy.

Overall product performance was good, and I prefer 120mm fans over 140mm AIOs just for case compatibility it’s just easier to setup across multiple cases without as much issue.

If you don’t need RGBs you can save a good chunk of change getting non RGB versions, this product exists to give a premium visual experience to a to an already sound product line. Corsair AIO have a great reputation, and my H115 been cooling my 4790k for almost 5 years without fail. This product comes with a 5 year warranty, and I say this time and time again my experiences with Corsair support have always been extremely positive the few times I ever needed to contact them over the past 20 years of using their products.

If you are big into high quality RGB lighting in your build the H100i Platinum SE is a must. It brings excellent cooling with low fan&pump noise.

Great looking product

Pros: -Cooler is hands down the best looking one on the market
-Keeps 2700x overclocked under control
-zero RPM fan setting great for low noise builds
-integrated fan splitter makes wiring easy

Cons: -You are paying a premium for having it white
-more expensive than most 280mm AIOs out there
-You can get better performing liquid coolers for less money

Overall Review: I really wanted this cooler simply for the color. Installed in a white Meshify C with 3 white LL series fans also from Corsair and thing looks beautiful. I knew the price to performance made no sense but it was more for the aesthetic of things. It most definitely is not worth the premium over the regular H100i but if you got the extra cash to make your rig look nice why not.

If this cooler was $20 cheaper I would have given 5 eggs

Special Edition !

Pros: It matches my build wonderfully, its beautiful, RGB, iCUE, fairly quiet LL fans. Keeps my i9-9900K mostly under control.

Cons: It seems that Special Edition equals Special Price :(

Overall Review: Just for grins, I tried the i9-9900K with a 5GHz OC, but as I already knew, 240mm units generally don't want to play that hard with this CPU. It was throttling pretty quickly with any kind of heavy synthetic load. But, I knew that going in, this cooler is there for the overall look of the build and the CPU runs on steroids already without overclocking. I run 60C maybe in heavy gaming, 70-75 under the loads I use. I'm a Happy non-overclocked Camper.

Amazing, but lots of wires

Pros: This Corsair liquid cooler is pretty well done. The lighting is over-the-top with customization and number of individually controllable LEDs. The cooling was also fairly dramatic taking my full load temperatures from 65C on stock to 35C with pump and fan at full speed. For comparison an after-market air cooling fan in the ~$50 range put the same load temperature about 56C. With the 'Balanced' setting, it seems to target a CPU temp of about 40C which resulted in a fan speed of about 1200 RPM and a pump speed of about 2470 RPM.

Installation was fairly straight forward. The included instructions cover installations for Intel, AMD, and the AMD TR4 socket. Changing out the mounting bracket on the pump is fairly simple. Just pop the old one off and the new one on. I installed this on a 125W AMD processor given the amount of heat it generates.

The iCue software is Corsairs comprehensive software for all color control. The software is not the most intuitive, but you can fumble your way through the basics. You will probably want to find the instructions though to use it properly.

Cons: My biggest gripe about the cooler is how the instructions don't compliment the construction. What I mean is the fans are meant to be exhaust fans. Any other orientation of the fans besides exhaust hides nearly all the LEDs. But in the instructions, it states that for best cooling performance, the fans should be intake fans. About the only way to win is to not mount the fans on the radiator and instead mount them as an exhaust to the case. This would cause fresh air to be pulled in past the radiator. This would be acceptable, but the idea of negative air pressure in the case is not great. It allows air to be pulled in to the case through all the nooks and crannies and bypass any dust filters. That said, I installed the fans as exhaust and it works great.

The hardest part of the installation is keeping the wiring nice and neat. The pump as a lot of wires coming out of it, and while necessary, they do take some work to keep out of the way. The pump has a SATA power connection and a tach signal going to the motherboards CPU fan speed. Another bundle coming out of the pump is for the radiator fan power, and a separate one for RGB LED control. Each fan has 2 connectors, so there are 6 connections to make (7 if you could the USB connection to the pump).

Last complaint is a bug I had fought with the iCue software. After firing up iCue, every LED mimicked the first LED on the pump. No ability to control the LEDs individually once iCue was opened. the fix was simply to completely close iCue and then open it again. This allowed each LED to be individually controllable again.

Overall Review: I got a little curious on the communications the fans used for LED color control. I connected a logic analyzer to the signal pin and looked at the signal. It is a single wire serial line that uses pulses of various lengths to transmit the data. It looks an awful lot like the protocol used by the WS2812B controller, but the timing was not within spec for that. The high pulses are ~0.75us and the 0.375us. The periods are between 1.75us and 1.875us. The refresh rate of the LED colors is ~59Hz. The reason I mention this is in case you are curious if motherboard RGB controllers can control the fan colors. Unfortunately, I cannot say one way or the other if they can, but if the motherboard communicates with these parameters, there is a good chance.

Overall this is a great cooler from Corsair. Very happy with it and with a 5 year warranty, you will be too.
