the wire that connects to the mother board is too small not enough prong holes does that matter?

I believe the connector you are referring to is the USB connector. It should plug into one of the USB ports, usually located on the bottom of the motherboard. Sometimes these get confused with the HD Audio port, the pin configuration of which is slightly different. The USB connector is what allows your motherboard to "see" the fans so you don't want to leave it unplugged.

Question 2

Would a push-pull configuration using another set of the same fans be possible and if so would it improve cooling and cpu performance at all? Also, how many devices is the entire AIO with the fans considered?

A push-pull configuration is possible and it comes with the necessary hardware to do so but you want to make sure the computer case you are using is able to support it. I'd say it's a bit overkill but you can never have too many fans!

Well, actually yes you can, because the iCUE Link hub (the small black box with the magnet on the back) that this AIO comes with can only support up to 14 fans (7 on one side, 7 on the other).
