Has yours leaked? How long have you had it for?

I've had mune for  9 months and no leaking at all. I was worried about that too since i bought really nice parts but corsair is I would have to say the best closed loop water cool company. This is a nice cooler my i5-6600K runs at 23 degrees Celcius, even on load it doesnt go above 28.

do these require maintenance like liquid draining?

I've had mine for almost two years now, and ive never had to drain it. And its still running as good as the day i got it. Temps are low and solid

Do I need anything else to get this working? Like liquid.

No, these are fully self contained units ie: plug and play. I will note that the thermal paste that these come pre-applied with is fairly decent, but I would recommend cleaning it off and using a different one.

Question 4

So it says this cooler comes with pre-applied thermal compound, so should I need to add any additional compound or should I be good leaving it as it is out of the box?

There is compound already applied to the heatsink so you should not need to add any.  There is nothing wrong with the compound that is factory applied but I personally use thermal paste remover (goo-gone) and purifier (alcohol) to remove the factory compound and use some Tuniq thermal paste.  Again, there is nothing wrong with the factory thermal paste and you would be fine to leave it on and use it.

Will this fit in a corsair 250d without issue?

Corsair site says H100i fits this case when side mounted. However, the V2 is slightly wider by about 5mm (less than 1/4 inch.)  I don't know how tight things are in that case.

H100i =  120mm x 275mm x 27mm
H100i V2= 125mm x 276mm x 30mm

Can i remove the waterblock?

Shot answer, no! It's part of the whole system. The hoses from the radiator are connected to the block, permanently.

Will this work with a 1151 Intel cpu ?

Yes, it will work with an Intel 1151 CPU - I am currently using with an Core i5 6500 which is LGA 1151.  In fact, the unit comes with the necessary mounting gear for most modern CPUs, Intel and AMD, so you're basically set no matter what you are using.

Will this fit onto the Asus z170-a Motherboard?

Its should, I have mine installed on a ASUS Maximus VIII Formula, was not an issue at all. Not a fan of how the Fans are setup on this new cooler. does not allow you to connect them to the Mini commander or cooling unit from Corsair without some creative "re-wiring". But it works. One other concern, the new z170 boards have less USB 2.0 header connections, so be aware you can run out real fast.

I'm looking for a Liquid cooling system that's compatible with an Am3+ block, obviously this one is not unfortunately, but could someone one point me to some that are?

As others said, this will fit just fine. The Intel mounting bracket is pre-installed, but will come off and allow you to put the AMD mounting bracket (included) in its place. Then you just put your screws into the stock AMD backplate that is included with your motherboard.

will this fit in a NZXT phantom full tower case? if not can you name me a few that could. thanks.

If the case is this, phantom 410, then according to the mfg site it will support a 240mm radiator for liquid cooling. I use a Corsair 350d micro-atx and I'm able to fit the H100iv2 along with a Corsair Hydro GFX video card, which is an MSI 980ti with a Corsair H55 cooler attached to it.
