Pros: Cloth surface is recognized easily by my NAOS7000, coming in at 80% surface recognition when calibrating the mouse. This is up from previous cloth mousepads (one in dark green, one in navy) that came in around 60% and an old TRON plastic mat that read in at 50%. I think this cloth is going to work much better thanks to the plastic edging about the LEDs. You can slightly feel it when using the mousepad (see cons) but the benefit is that the edges won’t fray after significant use. The mouse surface is smooth, and while I maybe only utilize about half of it, it does work much better than the TRON surface I was using. While I haven’t formally testing, my APM in AoE, Starcraft, and HotS all feel like they’ve improved. Could be a placebo for as far as I know, but less mouse effort does help a lot. I like the customization of the LEDs, and there’s a ton of options you can choose from. The software not only allows for different effects (pulse, ripple, spiral, static/always, just to name a few), but the LEDs can be customized on a per-light basis with very granular control over effect timing.
Cons: The USB port on the backside on the pad feels forced. I’m not sure what I’d use it for. Definitely not a mouse cord, because that will get caught on the bump. Maybe a receiver for a wireless headset or mouse? I think removing it and having the cable lay as flat as possible would make for a much cleaner look. The software used for customizing the LEDs is enormous, something like 400MB. Why on earth does it need to be that big? It does appear to work for other Corsair peripherals, but I still don’t think that explains it. While you can set presets in the software, they can’t be changed using any sort of hardware button. Instead of adding a bump with a USB passthrough, allowing me to change the active LED preset would be much more preferred.
Overall Review: It’s a solid mousepad with only a few minor downsides. LEDs are nice, though you’ll definitely want to not have a rainbow spiral forever, so get the software ASAP.
Pros: It looks good on your desk with the customizable RGB leds lining the edge. Mouse tracks well and the bottom is grippy so it doesn't slide around. Passthrough USB port lets you plug your mouse (or keyboard) in so there is no net loss of ports.
Cons: IMO there should be two USB ports so you can plug both mouse and keyboard in. My main complaint is that the CUE software needed to control the LEDs is incompatible with the previous version I was using with my Corsair gaming mouse. The macros I had written were unusable and since the interface has changed I will have to rewrite them all as well as learning to use the new GUI, which has changed substantially.
Overall Review: The extra USB port would have been nice, but the change in CUE interface and inability to use my old mouse macros really bothered me. If not for that, I would have awarded five eggs, and for anyone not using a Corsair mouse or keyboard with the old CUE, or doesn't mind reprogramming all their macros, then this is a nice product you can customize to match your rig's lighting. I prefer a static color, but the default (without CUE running) is a moving pattern of different colors.
Pros: Sooooo Smooth...seriously...just wow! RGB LEDs...obviously. Discrete Corsair sail logo in the lower right hand corner. Great size...not too big, not too small. Lengthy braided cord. Rubber textured bottom looks like the tops of Lego bricks...100's of little feet to keep it firmly planted even during intense gaming sessions. USB pass through is nice to especially if you have a wireless receiver to plug RIGHT there. No more interference problems with USB 3.0 ports! Nice weight and feel to it. It is more rigid than I had imagined, and that is a good thing...while it does have some give, it is not flimsy whatsoever like the cloth moniker had me thinking. I can hold one end of the whole pad with two fingers and it barely bows at all with my mouse resting on the opposite end; Logitech G602 and Corsair Sabre RGB. The smoothness seems to enhance the difference between DPI changes. Quite remarkable! Corsair Utility Engine to control all your Corsair peripherals together.
Cons: Not a whole lot really...If I had to be picky... Maybe price? See other thoughts... Brightness control for the mouse pad, mouse, and I'm assuming keyboard are under global settings. You have to click on the gear in the middle/upper right area of the software window. Why not just have this slider easily accessible in each peripheral tab, or even include a master brightness to turn everything you may have connected up/down together? The small areas at the top of the pad that are shiny glossy black...unnecessary IMO as all these areas do is get scratched up and unattractive looking over time; flat/textured black is just fine. This MIGHT, key word, be a con over time...the durability of the cloth and staying attached to the pad. I have used many cloth pads over the years and it GENERALLY speaking, is inevitable for it to start to peel over time. Granted I have never had a $60 cloth, rubber, LED, fantastical contraption such as this.....BUT it must be mentioned as a POSSIBLE issue somewhere down the road.
Overall Review: Had I mentioned the smoothness? Coming from the freebie Logitech G240 I had received with a Shell Shocker bundle a ways back...this beautiful nerdtastic peripheral really shocked me. Immediately I was like, "Whoa!" Meaning I literally said the word 'whoa', out loud, sitting on my couch after unboxing and hooking it up. Improved CUE software. I'm SUPER happy that Corsair addressed the CUE software...initially it was ridiculously complicated. They have made it infinitely more user friendly! 8 different LED effect settings that are customizable. You can change how fast the colors change, what direction the colors move (up/down, left/right, clockwise/counter-clockwise), randomize color shift, alternate between two colors, the speed at which these things happen, and you can save custom color effects to choose at your desire. Regarding the relatively high cost for a mouse pad...this thing is pretty sweet in all honestly. I was on the fence to purchase it since the first time I got the e-mail from Corsair about it. Then I was fortunate enough to have the Eggxpert review opportunity for it. Knowing what I know now, I feel it is worth the cost of entry due to build quality, USB passthrough, that smoothness LoL, and the LED bling factor (especially with improved CUE software).
Pros: - Base is solid, doesn't slip or move around on smooth surfaces like wood or glass. - RGB Lighting is brilliant & pleasing to the eye. - The weave fabric feels smooth-ish to the touch, more so than other mouse pads I have had.
Cons: - USB Pass-Through isn't USB 3.0 - There is only 1 USB Pass-Through port
Overall Review: - You will need Corsair Utility Engine (CUE) to get the RGB effects to work, NOT Corsair Link! :) - Packaging was solid, unboxing was simple.
Pros: For those who demand the best, this is your mouse pad. It makes your mouse, and gaming system better. It makes your mouse super precise. With a large are to work with and colorful light patterns, your system will look even sharper.
Cons: It does cost a few extra bucks. But who's counting?
Overall Review: This is intended for those gamer types who have to have the most precise setup
Pros: Consistent and excellent mouse response. Mat does not move when placed on a surface. LED lights are attractive and can be coordinated with your other Corsair items.
Cons: None that I can think of to do with the Mat itself, the CUE software, however, is a different matter. Non intuitive is an understatement.
Overall Review: Not being a hard core gamer I wondered about the applicability of this item to my PC usage. I really needn't have bothered, the difference between using this mat (pad or whatever you want to call it) and an old vinyl cloth covered one is like night and day. I use a Corsair Scimitar RGB mouse with variable DPI and this feature was usually fixed when used with my old mouse mat. Using that mouse with this mat I found that in specific applications varying the DPI away from the norm was advantageous for that particular application, specifically using it in picture editing and video editing where fine cursor control is needed. The response of the mouse in conjunction with this mat was excellent and, I never thought I would say this, the price of the mat is fully justified. If you ask my grandsons they would be telling you the same and that it was cool... seems I'm the cool grandad as I'm the one with RGB mouse, pad and keyboard. Games usage: I can only really comment on Skyrim SE and World Of Warships, these are the two games that occupy the bulk of my time on my PC that isn't work related and I can say that the mat in conjunction with my Corsair Scimitar is a major plus. I can position my targeting graticule in WoWS more quickly and more precisely and in skyrim the habit of the cursor jumping around a bit seems to have disappeared.
Pros: • Wonderful size and great surface area. • Designed to work with Corsair Keyboards and mice. • The pass through USB is a nice feature • Slick, the best surface for moving the mouse quickly and smoothly I have ever felt. • Very simple to use I like this mouse pad a lot. It is fantastic for movement of the mouse and is so spacious. I have a large monitor 3440x1440 size. The pad works through the whole screen. With the two monitors I have at work a 27” wide screen and 17” laptop screen in extended mode it just works.
Cons: • Price • The pad material will irritate your palms if you run them along the surface • I do not like the flashing LED – but you can turn it off with the CUE software in the Corsair Keyboard • Does not work nearly as well with another brand mouse Using this gaming pad with another brand of mouse may depend on how the mouse is built. The feet for the mouse (the part that touches the pad) needs to be smooth and larger. Smaller feet just do not move the same.
Overall Review: The first question I had after receiving this pad, is who would use it. My 15 and 13 year sons answered the question immediately. Both want to use it, and use it now. It was several hours until I was able to take my turn with it. My oldest is eyeing it with bad intent for his gaming system. It is smooth and you can change the accuracy of your mouse because of its size. With this in mind, I see two main uses for this device. The first is in gaming, where you need fine fast and smooth control. This pad is great for it. The second is in art/rendering or sound editing, where very fine control is a must. Because of its size and combined with the right mouse, you will get very fine control. It takes a little bit to get used to this level of control. If you work with it long enough you will. The price is a bit of a letdown. However, over time it may go lower or go on sale in the future. I really like it quite a bit. Honestly, I have debated on the star rating for a while. My first reaction was a 4, but I like using it so much that I am leaning more and more towards a 5. Which is where I ended up. Its smoothness just has to be felt. It is seductive.

Pros: A lot of space for mouse movement on this thing. Really improved my aim with Soldier 76 in Overwatch. I have a Corsair K70, M65, and VoiD RBG accessories and this mouse pad fit in perfectly. I have it set to transition the rainbow from the keyboard to the mouse/mousepad then to the headset. It's a nice effect and I like the look and smoothness of the transition. The surface of the pad is soft fine and smooth, with the grip underneath holding well on my keyboard tray on my desk. As I said before, a lot of space on this mousepad for movement, and in general desktop it's also nice to have such a large area. The USB port on this makes up for the one it takes up, so that's appreciated. I have my M65-RGB connected to it. The plastic used for RGB is very durable. I've accidentally grind it on my keyboard tray side and it stood up like a champ.
Cons: While it has a big surface area, that does come at an obvious price. It takes up a bunch of space. If you have your keyboard and mouse on top of the desk, then this may not be an issue, but I use a tray and this just barely fits with my K70 Keyboard. I'd imagine someone with a K95 would have issues. Also, I personally play with my keyboard at an angle, so a part of it does come on top of the keyboard. The size isn't a bad con, just something to keep in mind. I do have a concern about the cloth. It's fine and smooth enough that like the feel over a hard plastic or cold aluminum of my previous mousepads, I worry about it staining, with something like heatsink paste. I tend to work on my desk and have been extra careful with this mousepad (which is easy enough just sliding it into my desk). It's not just HS paste, but soda or food. This is nicer than a hard-plastic pad, you just have to be extra careful with it.
Overall Review: Fantastic good looking mousepad. I've enjoyed the compliments it gets, and look forward to getting my case set up with RGB to really have fun with light effects. It's has the Corsair quality feel, and goes wonderfully with the rest of their RGB equipment. Thoughtfully designed with the USB-passthrough, and very fine surface. You may have to be more careful with this than other mousepads, but it's fantastic and performs well. I would love to see a version of this mousepad with a removable surface held buy magnets. A hard plastic surface and a smooth cloth surface. Their could be alternative tops sold separately, such as Clear or Frost or custom designs. Just a thought.
