Will this PSU work with Crossfire to (2) R9 270x and FX-8350?

Just finished a build with this PSU.  This guy has at least two PCI-e connections and a dedicated CPU connection, in addition to your mobo connections.  As long as your predicted system TDP won't exceed 750W, this PSU should be fine.  I'm unfamiliar with the power draw on the R9-270xs but it handles my two GTX980 Ti's, i7-6700k, and two storage drives with no issues and only about 60% of the rated power output is needed.

This PSU has braided cables that look great and is very easy to work with! A good choice for anybody with power needs below the rating.

Question 2

I have a Lenovo IdeaCentre K300 53162HU desktop computer, and I want to add an upgraded video card and power supply. Would this power supply be compatible with my system? My current power supply is an ACBEL PC6001 ATX 280 watt power supply.

Thankfully power supplies are generally universal. Make note of the kinds of connections and where they go. You should be able to swap it out and have plenty of extra connections left over.

Question 3

I have a full tower rocketfish case where the PSU mounts on the bottom of the case. Are the cords long enough to reach everything? My last build using the case the cords almost did not reach.

It would depend on how close the mobo is mounted to the psu. I can tell you that the main board cables just barely reach in my rosewill mid tower, and thats with some creative routing going on. Also note that the cables have long shrink tubing by the plugs rendering them rather inflexible at the ends.  Verdict: You might want to look for extenders, if such a thing exists.

Hey Guys, I am trying to update a Gateway DX4365 UR11 and was wondering how this power supply may fair in the system, or if there is a better or more compatible option out there?

Hi Adam,
It should work fine. It is a normal size PS. I am powering an AMD FX8350, an Nvida GTX 970, three SSDs, three 3.5 inch HDDs , four 120mm and two 140mm fans with mine. It has if I remember right, 62 amps on the 12v rail so it has plenty of juice to start the computer and It is a single rail PS which is preferable when you need a lot of juice to start the system. Runs quiet and the modular system is great as you only need to use the cables that you need. I think that they are a good value.

This power supply has 24 pins connector; I'm wondering if it is ok to use with 20 pins motherboard ?

Yes it's fine use with a 20 pin motherboard. The 4 pin portion disconnects from the 24 pin portion and can be lifted aside.

Question 6

What is the length of the main motherboard power cable?

Not at home to measure it now, but it reaches the connection which is towards the top of the board in my setup from a bottom located PS case with extra slack.

I already have a PSU will i need to swap cable sets or will i be fine using my current cables?

I'd highly recommend switching cables but technically there should not be any issues. Assuming everything is compatible.

The specs say it has 4 x PCIe 6+2-Pin (GPU). So is that on 4 cables, or 2 cables daisy chained?

It comes with 2 daisy chained cables.

Question 9

How can you determine which side of any particular cable (ATX, CPU, PCIE) goes into the PSU and which goes into the component? Is it interchangeable?

The sides of the cable differ for what is plugged into the PSU and what is plugged into the component you are using it with. It is very easy to determine which end goes where on the PSU side as well due to how the pins are setup.

will this fit in the NZXT H440 Case?

It should fit however it would be a tight fit, not much room for anything else at the base.  I put this in a mid tower enter Max and had to remove my fan at the bottom. Definatly worth the purchase.
