Pros: Lots of power and save space on the modular design.
Cons: Read a review with 1 egg saying something popped and leading to a burnt electrical smell. Same thing happened to me, got the new pc setup, installed the os but everytime i would stress the cpu id get a black screen. About the 4th time I tried it i heard a loud pop followed by a small amount of smoke. I found out the cpu cable shorted out and the female slot on the psu no longer powered. The burn was located on the heatshrink right before the cpu male connector, odd place. I used a different cable and port, problem solved. Luckily I didnt short out my cpu or motherboard but I am still sketchy about leaving the computer on over night or all day while im at work. Hope this doesnt discourage anyone from buying this, just make sure you stress it out first to find any problems.
Overall Review: Even after what happened id buy again. Maybe I just have bad luck lol.
Pros: -Construction is solid
-connectors are solid
-120v power cable is higher gauge wire than most other power supplies
-main power on is a relay, you can hear it tick when you turn the pc on (most power supplies don't have this feature)
Cons: -managing the 24pin power cable is a little difficult due to the higher gauge wires, which is a good problem to have
Overall Review: I had a 80+ bronze 750w PSU from another well known brand that died after 6 months running the system @400w 24/7. I don't know how this corsair PSU will hold up but I have faith in the higher quality components in this unit.
Pros: It's totally silent 0 noise.
Cables are good quality and connectors are nice.
Everything is labeled well.
Cons: You have got to make the cables longer. There were a lot of F bombs and why is this cable so short comments being made. Another 5 inches on the CPU cable and the install would have been a breeze but because it was JUST long enough it took me 30min to get that cable plugged in.
Overall Review: Over all everything is working well.
Pros: From opening the box to initial inspection this supply just screams quality but does so silently! I have yet to notice if the fan has even spun since installing it last week as I don't think I've put enough load on it yet. The modular connections are plentiful and are solidly constructed as well.
Cons: my ONLY gripes are the stiffness of the 24 pin motherboard cable and lack of a single 8 pin PCI-E cable without the extra connection for SLI. I know for many this will not be an issue but the connector is just making it out of the grommet in the case and to me looks tacky.
Pros: PSU Fan only turns ON when needed; an excellent technology integrated with in PSU eliminates noise and power altogether.
Small form-factor then compared to standard PSU size.
Easy to setup, connect.
Cons: Would be nicer to have if all cables were flat-type; instead only SATA, 4-pin Molex are the only ones flat in this PSU.
LED Fan : )
Marking on the PSU for cable connections are little confusing and not aligned with the header.
Overall Review: Highly recommended.
good power supply
Cons: cables are very stiff
Overall Review: recommended
Pros: Quiet, great quality components. Stable current delivery for OC. 10 year warranty and they stand behind it very well as what I heard from friends.
Cons: Cables very stiff and the CPU cable way to short. I had to route the CPU cable on front of the MOBO and not hide it in the back.
The fan turns on sometimes even at idle.
The metal casing seems thinner than my old CX750, but still feels sturdy.
Overall Review: I would rate a 5 if at least corsair made the cpu cable longer. I don't know how much $$$ Corsair can save by shrinking their cables. This is a premium PSU and you would at least expect a decent lenght of cables like in my old CX750.
Pros: super quiet
plenty of cabling
Cons: i have not found anything to not like after 8 months
Overall Review: i would definately recommend this product.
