Pros: Super quality and long life. We had gone through some cheap power supplies before. I finally researched and corsair is top of the line. Installed this in Jan 2010. Fall of 2019 I built a new computer except for the power... Still using it. I don't run it heavy or do over clocking but it does run 24/7. I'm going to buy a new corsair and put this back in my first PC to give away.

Cons: Not a teleporter.

Overall Review: Would recommend corsair to anyone. I'm sure even their new white series are better than most companies bronze.
It was louder in my first build because they were old components that must have drawn a lot of power. With new build it's completely quiet.

Bought this in October 2009. I still have this and it still works like the day I got it. 2/15/2020 8:14:49 PM

Pros: It's Corsair with Japanese caps.
648W on the 12v rail. They're not dishonest and advertise combined wattage like some companies do.

Cons: Non-modular
Single PCIe graphics card (2x 6+2).
Only support for 8-pin CPU power. (Would actually still work with my new Gigabyte Aorus Elite x570 as its VRM design only requires 2x 4-pin.)

Overall Review: I keep it with my older system that is a hand-me-down. I used it with my main system until just a few weeks ago when I got a Corsair RM1000x modular, which can support 2 cards so I can do PCI pass-through. Nothing wrong with it. I ran it heavy too. I almost never turn off my PC. As up to a few weeks ago I was overclocking components with it and the power was dead-on clean. I could find my stable voltage with only 5mV from instability and I never had issues. Corsair makes a fine PSU and they're the only ones I will ever buy as long as they keep to their high standards.

Pros: Quiet.
Long lasting.

Overall Review: After 9 years with this thing running a Athlon II X3 + Radeon HD 5770, I just upgraded to a Ryzen 2700x + GTX 1660 OC Ti and... Oh, what's that? Still using the same old power supply, 9 years later. Buy Corsair, people!

Amazing, still cranking in 2019! 7/10/2019 3:43:34 PM

Pros: Very quiet, very high quality. All black, wires have thin see-through plastic mesh around them. Beautiful. You get what you pay for, you'll be amazed from the moment you open the box. 5 year warranty.

Cons: Impossible
update: after 10 years the flexible plastic squeeze to release tabs on the 4 pin power plugs snap when you squeeze them. Haven't seen them on any other plugs before. Power supply functionality is still 100%. Hard to find such a low price on a power supply of this quality nowadays.

Overall Review: Best power supply I have ever owned.

Update: July 8th 2019 It blows the fuse and is now finally dead. RIP my friend.

Still runnin after 8 years!!!! 6/19/2019 10:09:42 PM

Pros: Still runnin after 8 years

Cons: After 8 years now the fan squeaks just a tad, but not terribly. I guess 8 years is all you can expect from a fan. 12 years would have been better though. I take off one star for that. My expectations are high. Superb products last much longer than you expect.

Ran for almost ten years 10/17/2018 8:20:09 PM

Pros: Finally died yesterday after almost ten years of hard use through multiple builds. Replaced with another Corsair, no other issues.

Cons: Didn't last forever?

Overall Review: Great reliability. Good upgradability with this PSU, but make sure it meets all your cabling needs. Also, you should probably get modular if you have a smaller case or want better airflow.
