Question 1

Is this compatible with ROG STRIX Z370-E GAMING motherboard?

Accepted Answer

Hello,

Thank you for contacting us in regards to your question.

This memory falls within spec for that particular motherboard, however we would suggest checking with user reviews as well as the QVL lists provided by the manufacturer of your motherboard and the memory. Generally user reviews will give you the best idea of compatibility with memory.

Thank you,

Question 2

will this work for AMD Ryzen 7 5700x?

Accepted Answer

The CORSAIR Vengeance LPX RAM is recommended for use with AMD 300 Series, AMD 400 Series, AMD X570, and AMD 500 Series motherboards, which are compatible with the AMD Ryzen 7 5700X processor.

Question 3

so will it work on x570 tomahawk?

Accepted Answer

I would always check the mainboard compatibility list. If its is compatible with DDR4 3600, then chances are that the RAM will work. The 3600 is the max. speed for this RAM, but you can use any speed below that as well, if you get stability issues. I use it in a MSI x570 and have no problems.

Question 4

What is the total height of this RAM? Will it fit a 32mm clearance?

Accepted Answer

Yes, it should clear. I believe the spec height is 31mm for all LPX sticks. My case and fan also have a super-tight clearance and those are the only quality RAM modules that fit.

Question 5

Is Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB DDR4-3600 CL18 better than 32GB DDR4-3200 CL16?

Accepted Answer

Choose the Corsair DDR4-3600 CL18 kit when the price is similar and your motherboard and CPU support DDR4-3600 through XMP. It provides higher memory bandwidth, while DDR4-3200 CL16 has the same calculated first-word CAS latency of about 10 ns. Real-world gaming gains are usually modest, so DDR4-3200 CL16 is the better value when it costs noticeably less or offers easier compatibility.

Question 6

Is this 32GB DDR4-3600 kit enough, or should I get 64GB?

Accepted Answer

Choose this 32GB kit for gaming, everyday desktop use, and moderate content creation. Choose 64GB when your workload regularly includes virtual machines, large projects, professional video or 3D applications, heavy modded games, or extensive multitasking. When a workload fits within 32GB, moving to 64GB generally adds capacity headroom rather than higher gaming performance.

Question 7

Should I buy this 32GB kit instead of a 16GB DDR4 kit for gaming?

Accepted Answer

Choose this 32GB kit for modern gaming with background applications, browser tabs, Discord, streaming, or mods. A 16GB kit can still handle many games when the system is lightly multitasked, but 32GB provides more capacity for avoiding memory pressure and occasional stutter. The kit uses two 16GB modules, preserving dual-channel operation on compatible desktop motherboards.

Question 8

Should I choose this DDR4 kit or move to 32GB DDR5 for a new PC?

Accepted Answer

Choose this kit when you are upgrading an existing DDR4 desktop or building around a DDR4-compatible platform, such as many AM4 systems and DDR4 versions of Intel platforms. Choose DDR5 when you are buying a new motherboard and CPU platform and want a newer memory standard with a longer upgrade path. DDR4 and DDR5 modules are not interchangeable, so the motherboard must determine the choice.

Question 9

Will this RAM run at its rated 3600MHz speed?

Accepted Answer

Not always automatically. The system must support DDR4-3600, and Intel XMP 2.0 may need to be enabled in the BIOS. If the motherboard or CPU supports a lower memory speed, the kit will typically run at the highest supported speed instead.

Question 10

Can I add this kit to my existing RAM or combine it with another kit?

Accepted Answer

It may work, but mixing memory kits is not guaranteed to be stable, especially at the rated 3600MHz speed. For the most predictable compatibility, use this matched 2 x 16GB kit by itself and confirm that the motherboard supports 32GB in two DIMM slots.
