Question 1

Can I use my PC's bluetooth card to stream audio to these instead of having to use a 3.5mm cable?

Accepted Answer

Well the speakers themselves are not Bluetooth enabled; however, you can still use a Bluetooth device to play music through the speakers if they are connected to the PC that has the Bluetooth card. 
For example, I plugged the speakers into my laptop that has a Bluetooth card, and am able to play music on my iPhone through the speakers.

Can you disable the auto-power down?

From what I've read on other sites, the auto power down, aka power saver mode, is mandated by EU policy.  Taking 5 - 10 seconds to power up is a problem if you depend on notifications from Skype, Outlook, etc.  With the power up lag, you will miss important notifications.  Allegedly, there is a NA version of these speakers that do not have the power saver "feature".  Personally, I would not buy the EU version.

Can these plug in directly into the Speaker Jack on the motherboard or do you need a separate sound card?

Yes, they plug directly "into the speaker jack."  They come with an RCA dual conversion plug if one wants to use them for a tv, vcr, dvr etc.  It sounds to me like your motherboard has an onboard sound card, so no separate sound card is required.

Question 4

Are these good speakers to have if used with a gaming rig pc? because I am currently saving for a sound card that is decent. I am a complete amateur when it comes to audio speakers and sound cardfs with pc's. Not to say I do not love music, movies, and gaming with high quality sound because I do it is just I have yet to truly venture down that path with my pc building and what not.

I use these speakers for everything, including gaming.  The sound quality has been good - they have moderate punch, can go far louder than I need.  I've been happy with this purchase.

That said, it depends on what you're looking for.  If you want to listen to stuff on decent speakers with a headphone option then I think these are a good choice.  If you want voluminous sound with the ability to use a sub for some shaking bass then maybe go with different speakers that have a sub-out.

Does it work with 220V input ?

Yes,    110-240V     via the power supply.

But keep in mind they  are low quality speakers.   The sound isn't that good.

And for future reference even if these were not 220 capable   you can always purchase an aftermarket 220v to 27v transformer or power supply on any device that has an external power supply    (ie. when the power transformer box is in the middle of the power wires and not built into the device)

Question 6

If left on, do they have static or other noises from interference of other electronics?

With a properly grounded system, I do not hear any static coming from these speakers.

Question 7

How long is the input cable?  My computer is on the left of a big corner desk.  It's quite a run to reach where the right speaker would be.  I could use the right speaker as the "left" speaker though.  Not sure how that would affect the audio.

I used replacement cables as I married two sound cards into these speakers (which works great!), but I don't recall how long the provided speaker cable is.  I would guess and would be pretty sure it's nothing longer than 10ft.  Sorry I couldn't help more, I don't know where the original cable is since I used replacements.

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT OHM THESE ARE?  I NEED A MINIMUM OF 8 OHM SPEAKERS.

Their ohm rating doesn't matter. They have their own internal amplifier and cannot be driven by an external amp. The only input they accept is from a 3.5mm jack- like a headphone jack or your computer's audio-out jack. These 3.5mm jacks do not have ohm ratings, because it is irrelevent.

If you have a receiver/amp and are looking for speakers, do not look at self-powered speakers (with built-in amps). Look at passive speakers.

Can I plug these into an Xbox One or PS4?

as long as there is a headphone jack or external speaker plug on the Xbox One or PS4 then yes. Ususally they output sound through HDMI so just make sure there is a headphone port.

Question 10

Does anyone know where I can find a cable for the "To docking station" port on these? I have an old subwoofer that I want to use with them but I don't have a male to male cable for it.
