Pros: Uber stable! Even when Overclocked!!

Cons: Didn't come with beer.

Overall Review: Bought another brand of PC2-6400 memory last year and they sucked. Should have gotten Crucial the first time around. Would have saved me alot of headaches.

Pros: Worked for about 6 weeks without incident.

Cons: Started generating errors for no apparent reason. memtest86+ now reports dozens of errors on both modules. Now useless.

Overall Review: Used in GIGABYTE GA-MA78GM-S2H with Athlon X2 5000 Black Edition CPU. Default motherboard settings decided to overclock memory to DDR2 864, fiddling required to get it in spec.

Pros: I bought a set of four of these a few months ago when they were the clipped heatsink two sided version - when they were the good micron chips and they worked fine until they gave out.

Cons: They now come as single sided ram with a spreader glued to both sides. I was very disappointed to see the change when I got the new ones. I've had four of six sticks go bad after just a few months in a eVGA 780i mobo without OCing at all. Won't even post with any of the old sticks, and it all started with random BSODs (which disappeared when I removed the problem stick, and after the problem stick was removed it would never let me even POST with it in ever again) Since they're single sided now its unlikely they are still the good micron chips, they seem to be very very cheaply made. Its unlikely they would OC or perform as well as a double sided ram stick. Almost cut myself pushing em in. Ontop of it all, one of my original double sided ram had a LED light missing, just wasn't there on one of the rows at all but it seemed to function fine.

Overall Review: I would go with a different type of ram than this. These used to be good high quality chips - I don't know enough about the new ones to tell if they're any good chips really but i'd still put my money elsewhere. This is like a stripped down version of what it used to be - hence the cheaper prices. I've never had RAM go bad before these either.

Pros: overclocks very well. able to hit 1100. i settled on 920mhz 2.3v 4-4-4-12. you can also lower the voltage and still run 4-4-4-12 at 800mhz.

Overall Review: this runs 4-4-4-12 2.2v volts stock. make sure to set your ram timings/voltage in bios manually to ensure its running at rated speeds/voltage. alot of boards will default 1.8 5-5-5-18.

Pros: My last review mentioned that one kit of this ram was returned as DOA and the next kit was unstable. I have now had a month to play with this ram on my 650i motherboard. The issue I had was the Vdimm, this was set to 2.2V manually. Cas 4,4,4,12 2T was possible at 400mhz, Cas 5,5,5,5,15,2T was not possible at 500mhz even though I had a profile for it. When set at 2.1, 1T was possible at 400mhz, the 500mhz profile worked perfectly and Cas 4,4,4,12, 1T is good all the way up to 438mhz on my board with 2.1Vdimm.....

Cons: The default Vdimm of 2.2V made this ram unstable, dropping to 2.1V solved all the problems I had with this ram.

Overall Review: I will be buying another 2 sticks, shame the rebate has ended this ram was a steal at $35.

Pros: Blue Leds by pins make it look amazing, plus the leds on top that act as like activity lights, a must have for clear sidepanel cases, also runs verry smooth, and nicest ram i have ever ownd

Overall Review: If you have a Asus P5K-E or Gigabyte P35 board getting random BSOD's with this RAM.. you found your problem!!! These are unstable and incompatible with those boards and even though they won't show any errors on memtest, they will promptly give you random BSODs.

Pros: Crucial adds LED activity lights on top of their strong Ballistix line. 4-4-4-12 timings at DDR2-800 (PC2-6400). Solid performance w/o the high cost associated with elite 'boutique memory'. The LED activity could be one more potential indicator to tell if your operating system has locked up or is just 'busy'. Primarily: there's a disco inside my PC...

Cons: I bought 2 kits of these modules. From initial testing, it appears that the LEDs of one of the four modules is not lighting. Memtest86+ was having issues with this pair of chips installed, so the issue may be more than just with the LED circuitry. Further testing is to be done... Either Newegg's excellent service or Crucial's lifetime warranty will help me take care of this issue. The other pair of modules is doing fine. I seem to be finding more issues with new modules lately, but it could be that I'm looking harder since such reliable utilities like Memtest86+ are available. Of the last 12 modules I've bought, I've detected and RMA'd 3. Even so, I have to give this '5 egg' product 4 eggs for not avoiding the quality control issues...

Overall Review: Since the pictures don't describe the LEDs, I'll do so here. There are 8 LEDs on the top of each module with an alternating green and red color. There are also 4 blue LEDs behind the heat sink that give a 'ground effect lighting' glow to the RAM sockets. The blue LEDs are constantly on, but the red and green LEDs flicker during operation. Crucial's circuitry controls the LEDs, which has some sort of discernable pattern during 'light' activity, but during full load (RAM testing for example) they basically just flash at high speed. The LEDs are quite bright and compete for supremacy against my 4 LED case fans.
