Pros: Bought a SSD to replace a bad hard drive and upgrade in memory from2 to 8GB One Crucial memory stick worked the other when inserted into any of the two memory slots would cause to computer to not post. One of the two sticks worked!
Cons: Took all the necessary precautions - wearing a wrist strap and an ESD mat...just bad out of the box. Newegg charged me +10% to return a defective product....that's not right...not too happy about that.
Overall Review: I have always used Newegg for my electronic purchases....may think twice now, especially for big purchases, since other online retailers do not charge you for defective product returns.
Pros: It works as advertised, especially in a Toshiba L755D-S5218.
Cons: None.
Overall Review: Upgrade from 2x2GB DDR3-1333 1.5V to 2x4GB DDR3-1600 1.35V and the clock speeds run at 1333.
Pros: Bought QNAP 4-bay with minimal memory and used this set to maximize the memory. Using QNAP as storage, media center and VM server. Have had no problem with memory.
Cons: none
Pros: I installed this memory into my Toshiba L755D-S5218 laptop, going from 4 GB to 8 GB. I don't play games on this laptop, but I do multi task, opening several websites at a time and office programs etc. Over all the improvement is noticeable.
Cons: None
Overall Review: Memory on my laptop is operating as the following: 8.00 GB DDR3 @ 665MHz (9-9-9-24) (due to Motherboard limitation not a memory speed issue. I also have a 240GB SSD hard drive installed. Originally just starting Windows 7 would utilize 46% of the RAM (512mb allocated just for the video). On a normal basis, I would often be using 70-80% of the RAM and occasionally get out of memory warnings. Now I have sufficient memory available and the computer does seem to operate a bit quicker. (I was surprised that the performance was noticeable.) For my use and laptop, this upgrade was well worth it.
Pros: No Pros for DOA!
Cons: I installed this in a new Intel NUC and started having blue screens about once per hour. After about 4 of them, I booted up the most recent version of memtestx86+ and it found numerous errors within the first minute of testing.
Overall Review: I wish quality control had caught this so I didn't have to return it immediately.
Pros: Cheap
Cons: Non-functional with broadwell CPU.
Overall Review: Newegg is still shipping the modules ending in C8FND despite Crucial's claims that they are replacing their partner's stock.
Pros: Upgraded my HP Pavilion 15-n210dx TouchSmart Notebook and it became faster in some of cases. Now I can open much tabs in google chrome also open other softs in same time. Before it had 4gb ram in 1 slot and it lagged so much.
Cons: Product is compatibled with my laptop.
Overall Review: Recommend for HP Pavilion 15-n210dx TouchSmart Notebook
Pros: One module can be installed.
Cons: Two modules installed in the NUC causes a memory error.
Overall Review: Crucial has confirmed on their site that there are two different versions of the RAM sold in this kit. One version was approved for the NUC and the other is incompatible. If you're a gambling person, buy this kit. If not, buy another brand. It pains me to say that since Crucial was always my go to RAM brand but I can't in good conscience recommend anyone buy this kit with the intention of using it in an Intel Broadwell NUC.
