Love my drive
Pros: I love my SSD drive. 15 second Win7 boot times at most, 20 second virus scans. I'm not so much interested in super tiny benchmark results, but real world results. If its faster than my old drive
Cons: I hate the rebate process of Newegg. I check and double checked the rebate info, the printed materials, barcode, etc etc etc and my rebate claim was yet again denied. I've had this issue with EVERY rebate something goes wrong.
Overall Review: Newegg needs to get rid of their rebate process. Its flawed and IMO, bogus. It WILL hurt my return purchases.
Stopped working within 5 months
Pros: Compact. Took SD and Micro SD.
Cons: It stopped working within 5 months and started giving me issues within 3 months. I started to have to hold my SD card in tightly for it to stay mounted. now, it sees the card, but can't do anything with it. The MicroSD slot may still work, but I don't use it for that size. It is for my DSLR chip. I've owned IOGear items before and had better luck, but this one, not so much. I'll stick with a more name brand reader in the future.
Love this set
Pros: I've had this combo for over two years and still love it. My mouse battery isn't staying charged like it used to so I am in the market for another combo. I am considering getting this combo again since I can't find the mouse by itself. I've read a lot of the reviews on this combo and I've never had any of the issues anyone else has had. That doesn't mean it hasn't happened to them, but just my experience. If I can't find something else that interests me, I will be rebuying this combo.
Cons: I wish the rechargeable battery was replaceable. If it was, I wouldn't be in looking for a new set. My set is over 2 years old, possibly 3 years. Its been quite a while.
Great drive
Pros: The drive is fast and using the ATTO benchmark, it lives up true to the posted read/write speeds.
Cons: None yet.
Overall Review: I got a $30 rebate for it and frankly www.4myrebate.com is such a scam. No matter what, it won't let me take off this stupid $4 charge for a rushed rebate. I select the slow option for no charge and bam, there it is, a $4 charge. This rebate site needs to die. Newegg needs to quit using them.
Good board
Pros: Great board. Seems to have sufficient cooling for its components. Right out of the box, I put my PhenomII 955 up to 3.6ghz (17x212fsb) and it took it just fine. Will push it to 4ghz hopefully when my new heatsink/fan arrives.
Cons: The onboard video chipset isn't too terribly great. Right now I have a DVI to HDMI cable and the quality is just a tad lower than my NVidia 8800GT was on my old computer running the same cable. Howerver, when I buy a true HDMI cable and use the onboard HDMI port, I'll see if it makes a difference. Also, the picture is darker than the NVidia card was. But that was a simple adjust in the Catalyst control pannel.
Overall Review: Other than wishing it had a better onboard video, none.
More than I expected
Pros: I got this yesterday and installed. Install wasn't too bad. I figure if you can build a computer, you can install this without problems. Display is nice, bright and clear. The remote is pretty good too. A direct line of sight is needed unfortunately, but thats fine since it is where I sit at. It works as a mouse pointer which is real nice. I can put my keyboard/mouse away when I'm watching movies. Software isn't too bad. If you don't have Windows Media Center, it will do just fine.
Cons: You have to restart the software for the display to work if you update its settings. Not sure why, but not that horrible of a thing. I wish the power cable adapter was smaller. Shoot, I wish it didn't have one. I managed all my cables and ended up having to redo that because of that extension/adapter.
Overall Review: I would recommend this item to anyone with a HTPC.
