ASUS ROG PG278Q Black 27
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: 1 day to 1 week

Pros: Shipped in Asus packaging, included was just the power brick and cables, no manual or DP cable.

-Worked great out of the box
-No dead pixels
-No major damage
-Windows recognized resolution and then refresh in about 5 minutes
-Saved $200!

Cons: -Minor scratches on base

Other Thoughts: First time buying a refurb on such a high price item, especially one I'm going to be staring at for hours on end, so was a little hesitant after reading mixed reviews.
I'm incredibly pleased that everything works, looks great just like if I bought it new. And saved $200!
Will update after a few weeks or so just to backup this positive review.

5 out of 5 eggs 5 Eggs, because does what it's supposed to do 03/14/2017

This review is from: ASUS TUF SABERTOOTH Z170 S LGA 1151 Intel Z170 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Long time Asus user, first Intel build.

-Good quality construction
-Cool white digital camo
-Not too many gimmicks
-8/10 BIOS
-Shipped in one piece

Cons: None so far after almost a year of everyday, sometimes intensive use

Other Thoughts: For the money it's good. I mostly went with this board for the chipset and the color.
Not too much else to say about it!

Pretty meh unless you can find it on a good sale

RAIDMAX Blackstone series RX-700AC 700W Continuous Power ATX12V V2.3 / EPS12V V2.91 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: more than 1 year

Pros: Update: I've owned and have been using this PSU for 4.5 years now w/ 6-7 hours of heavy use every single day. Enough said really.

This was the PSU I bought when I build my first gaming rig. More than 2 years later, it's still running like a champ.
I've never had any problems involving not having enough power, shorting out, etc., even when I would overclock other components pretty hard.
The blue LED's are really nice, and are the perfect brightness!

Cons: None in 2 years!

Other Thoughts: I would recommend this PSU to anyone on a budget, but that still wants a great and reliable rig for gaming or just about anything else. The Raidmax 700W is more than enough juice for just about anything you throw at it!
