Best air-cooled 290x
Pros: The professional reviews show that this is the best air-cooled card on the market. I'm running Battlefield 4 under Windows 7 (64 bit) at 1920 x 1080, with everything maxxed out and the card refreshes the screen faster than my HDTV (60hz). I almost can't believe how much of a better helicopter pilot I am in BF4 with this improved card -- the increased framerate over my previous card makes a huge difference when aiming my mini-gun at infantry or flying between buildings to avoid Stinger missiles. Even though it's a pci-e 3.0 card, it's definitely backward-compatible with the pci-e 2.1 implementation on my Asus Rampage 2 Gene motherboard.
Cons: It's 12" long, so I had to remove the hard drive cage (that I wasn't using) in front of it on my Antec 902 case. I'm not removing an egg rating, because I don't need the drive cage. Additionally, my Rampage 2 Gene motherboard's second pci-e 2.1 slot is so close to the card that it would restrict airflow to one of the fans the card if I had left my tiny add-on USB 3.0 expansion card in there (I didn't need that either). I never do crossfire (prefer simpler, single-card solutions), so no egg rating removed here either.
Overall Review: Asus Rampage 2 gene motherboard using pci-e 2.1 Intel Core i7 930 processor Antec 902 gaming case I turned up all of the gaming case's fans to their maximum speed (including the add-on side window fan) to give the card as much airflow as possible.
Bought 2 drives; one failed within a year
Pros: Very fast drives, especially for a SATA 2 setup
Cons: One of the two drives that I bought for my RAID 1 mirror died. I had to RMA the broken drive back to Western Digital. Now I'm waiting for the replacement drive to arrive. The standard RMA process takes at least two weeks if you're very responsible about it and move quickly.
Overall Review: After this failure, I bought a 256 GB Samsung 470 series solid state drive so that I could get my computer up and running again, without losing the data in my RAID (Windows broke my RAID boot after the drive died).
Got the job done
Pros: 1 package works perfectly with the Armageddon heat sink and two Ultra Sleek Vortex 14 fans in a push/pull configuration.
Cons: Should be included with the heat sink or fans.

Good thin fans, could be faster
Pros: Two of these fans fit my Armageddon heat sink perfectly in a push/pull configuration, using the add-on clips (purchased separately) from the manufacturer. The temps are nice and steady under heavy load.
Cons: Peak RPM between 1,100 and 1,200. I wish I had picked up faster fans in a small profile like this.

Best PSU I've ever owned
Pros: Pumps some serious juice to all my components. Even fixed a USB port flakiness issue that I was having under gaming load, which was obviously because my previous power supply wasn't up to the task. The cabling is modular and I connected my video card's power to two different rails for even power distribution.
Cons: I've had no issues at all with this power supply.
Overall Review: Antec 902 case
Pretty good
Pros: Covers the chip on my small Rampage 2 Gene micro ATX motherboard, without blocking any of my standard sized RAM chips from fitting in their slots. Keeps the chip nice and cool on air, with two fans in push/pull configuration.
Cons: Unable to reach the CPU fan power on my motherboard, because there isn't enough room fro my hand behind the heat sink. I had to use two of my chassis fan slots on the motherboard, which is fine.
Overall Review: I scratched/bent some of the CPU pins on my motherboard during installation. Put the chip in its slot before you start installing the heat sink.
