Pros: 1 - Easy to Install
2 - Is quite fast (no benchmark testing yet)
3 - Acronis HD cloning software is easy to install and use
The Acronis software is some sort of limited edition but it works well enough. I had no trouble with it.
Cons: None thus far.
Other Thoughts: No load lag in the following games with all settings set to HIGH:
- Diablo 3
- Starcraft II Wings of Liberty
- Path of Exile
- Assassin's Creed 4 Black Flag
- Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Blacklist
- Torchlight 2
- Civ 5 Go_ds &Kings, Brave New World, and all other content DLCs
I haven't run any benchmarking tests on the SSD, but I intent to test out loading and using 2x 40GB virtual Machines running Windows 7 64bit. I will have them on the virtual machines on the SSD to see if it provides any benefit.
I have about 130GB loaded on the SSD right now (OS, games, and necessary apps).
Pros: Works well with my Asus Maximus VI Formula motherboard and Core i5-4670k CPU. The motherboard has a C2 chipset revision.
Cons: A minor knit-pick is that the RAM defaults to 1333 speed. However, I haven't begone overclocking yet.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: NVIDIA GIFT Holiday Bundle
Pros: Comes bundled with many nVidia and AMD/Radeon based cards.
Cons: - The promo redemption server was down for more than 2 days.
- Both games force the user to use Ubisoft's Uplay service/store.
- The Uplay app. (steam wanna be) is required to download and install the games.
- Sorry steam users this bundle does not allow for easy steam download/install.
Ubisoft does not supply a manual (paper or electronic) outside of their games. There is some documentation within the games but they are poorly done. The target audience of the in-game documentation is players who have prior experience with previous game releases. Simply put the in-game documentation is inadequate (both games).
I spent over 2 hrs in the starting areas because I didn't understand how to go about completing the quests and their wasn't enough info./feed back to problem solve beyond exhaustive random searching.
I read every manual of every product I buy (habit of an engineer).
Other Thoughts: Any video game publisher that is too _lazy_ to include a simple yet high quality piece of product documentation, in electronic or paper (aka dead tree format), that is outside of the game product, does NOT deserve your entertainment dollars (Pesos/Euros/Wons/Yens/Pounds).
Avoid Ubisoft games/products. Video card manufacturers need to start looking at other game publishers for bundling opportunities.
