Really impressed
Pros: Price and picture quality. Not a dead pixel.
Cons: None, it's an ASUS what else do you need to know?
Overall Review: I'm not a gamer by any means so I can't speak to that. But, for normal everyday use this LCD id an excellent value. Lots of screen real estate for a great price with an incredibly crisp and clear picture. Asus has never let me down and I've been using their products for years. Maybe I'm lucky but I like to think they're just a great company. If you're running Ubuntu and the resolution is incorrect make sure you have an internet connection then simply go to [ System - Administration - Hardware Drivers ] and install the restricted nvidia driver. Piece of cake.
Great monitor with a catch
Pros: Great LCD for the price.
Cons: I use the neo-flex ultra stand with all my monitors. Unfortunately the simple act of removing the base VOIDS the warranty!! One of the screws that secures the base has a sticker over it that states the warranty is void if broken. In my opinion this is a ridiculous stipulation. Removing the base does nothing to affect the overall functionality of the monitor. I will NEVER buy from Hanns-G again.
Overall Review: NOTE: If you plan on adding your own stand the warranty will be VOID.
Better than expected.
Pros: Small, sleek and relatively quick. High definition video for the htpc crowd. A sudo dual core for a really low price.
Cons: Audio port on the front only? I know you could go through hdmi but not everyone is buying this for a home theater. Windows XP junk edition. On initial boot this little boy was being strangled by windows and the multitude of pre-installed, bloated, junk software.
Overall Review: Got this for my aunt as a replacement for her ancient desktop. Loaded 64bit Ubuntu and noticed and incredible difference. This little rig is perfect for casual web surfing, email and other basic tasks most average people do. Give Linux a try, it's not as complicated as you have been told. In particular give Ubuntu a try. Your computer will thank you.
Perfect little boot drive
Pros: Fast, tough and versatile.
Cons: None
Overall Review: Used this to install 64bit Ubuntu on the Acer Aspire Revo AR1600-U910H. Was a complete breeze and comparatively as quick as installing via cd.
can't complain
Pros: Great documentation for first timers like myself. Everything worked first time no doa here thankfully. IMO worth every penny and then some.
Cons: System will not reboot for some reason. Everything else is peachy though. It's most likely something I did or didn't do.
Overall Review: Ordered Monday, got it wednesday, one day ahead of schedule. No small feat considering it went from California to Northern Maine. An overall great experience at newegg. I'll be back.
