This review is from: Corsair Obsidian Series 550D Black Aluminum / Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Pros: Plenty of room; I have an ssd and 3 hdd in the case. Very easy to make changes. Like that it has 3 fans and the filters seem to work well. Quiet, Not too tall. Very straightforward / clean assembly with modular power supply and other components.
Other Thoughts: Would make the same choice again. I believe it will serve me well for years to come.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Rosewill RNX-AC600UB_v2.0, Dual Band Wireless AC600 Wi-Fi Adapter, IEEE 802.11AC IEEE802.11a/b/g/n, Up to 433 Mbps (5.0 GHz) + 150 Mbps (2.4 GHz) Wireless Data Rates, USB 2.0 Interface
Pros: Works as advertised.
Worked immediately in Windows 8.1; didn't even need to run the enclosed driver CD.
Other Thoughts: After installing the original $40 Windows 8 Pro and then upgrading to 8.1 Pro and an Intel 520 ssd on a 9-year old Dell Latitude D620 T2500 Core Duo I experienced intermittent flooding of Event Viewer with thousands of Event ID 5010 entries. Diagnosed the cause to be the old Wi-Fi card.
Turning off the internal Wi-Fi card and installing the Rosewill adapter solved the problem; faster response and improved battery life.
Helped salvaged a nice machine that otherwise might have gone to the Windows XP scrap heap.
This review is from: Intel BOXDH87MC LGA 1150 Intel H87 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
Pros: Excellent documentation and support. Driver download process and BIOS update process went smoothly.
Cons: None so far
Other Thoughts: My first build, along with a Corsair Obsidian 550D, Seasonic modular power supply, and i5-4670. Initially trying HD4600 Intel graphics which so far seem totally adequate for my needs (not a gamer).READ FULL REVIEW
