5 out of 5 eggs Perfect 03/25/2006

This review is from: BELKIN F8E093 Anti-Static Wrist Strap

Pros: Comfortable. Works like its supposed to.

Cons: The cable could be a little longer. But it doesnt really bother me. I just need to move the alligator clip around every once in a while. not a big deal.

Other Thoughts: before you use this its a good idea to make sure the conduction between the two ends is good. DONT plug the alligator clips into an outlet to test like Infinity describes below unless you want to die. Use a multimeter and test the resistance between the clip and the metal contact that touches your wrist. If the resistance is infinite then there is no conduction between the two ends. If the multimeter comes up with a number then your good. If you dont have a multimeter then you can do it the ghetto way... clamp the alligator clip on one of the contacts of a brand new 9V battery. put the tip of your tounge on the edge of the wrist contact and then touch the wrist contact to the other contact of the 9V. If you feel a tiny little tingle on your tounge when the battery and wrist contact connect then your good. If not, your cord doesnt work or you need to try a newer/stronger battery. This is safe as long as you dont use anything bigger than a 9V. Anything bigger might hurt.

Pros: CHEAP!

Cons: Be careful.. lots of sharp edges. I tested the power supply and it was very stable considering the cost. However I wouldnt suggest using it.
