GIGABYTE GeForce GTX 1080 DirectX 12 GV-N1080TTOC-8GD 8GB 256-Bit GDDR5X PCI Express 3.0 x16 ATX Turbo OC Video Card

Pros: -At least 2X faste than two GTX 770s in SLI (60+ FPS in The Divison vs 15-30)
-Runs very cool & exausts the heat right out of the case
-It's 1080GTX the reviews/benches don't lie

Cons: -loud MOTOR (no the axial fan)! The heasink/fan design is spot on for cooling efficiency, which is why I went with this card. But unfortunately the fan MOTOR itself is rather loud. Even at it's lowest setting (25%) the motor sounds like an internal combustion engine @ 2500rpm :( It's louder than my old 3-fan card!

Other Thoughts: I'd definitely recommend this card to anyone who's not sensitive to ambient noise. In my case, i'll have to return this card because the loud fan motor is louder at idle than anything else in my PC (yes, it's an extremely quiet build)

G.SKILL TridentX Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2400 (PC3 19200) Desktop Memory Model F3-2400C10Q-32GTX

Pros: -Nice Packaging

Cons: -1 bad stick out of 4 (Bought a 32GB kit......I think? :P )
-The mobo only sees 24GB as a result
-Won't run at 2400mhz due to the bad stick

Other Thoughts: If you like playing Russian Roulette, this is the ram for you!
I should've heeded all the negative reviews. In my 15 years of building PCs, this is the 1st bad batch of ram i've had. I guess there's always a first time for everything. Thanks G.SKILL.
-Streer clear of this kit

ARRIS SURFboard SB6183 DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem - 600 MHz Dual-Thread Processor

5 out of 5 eggs Upgrade for Xfinity BLAST users 02/08/2016

This review is from: ARRIS SURFboard SB6183 DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem - 600 MHz Dual-Thread Processor

Pros: -16 DL channels future proofs this modem over the SB6141 (already considered EOL by Xfinity) & is worth the extra $30
-my DL speeds went from 128Mbit\s to 165-170Mbit\s
-Set-up in 10 minutes (including the call to customer service)

Cons: -It's white
-LEDs are obnoxiously bright

Other Thoughts: -My 1yr old SB6121 was only getting 128Mbit\s with the Blast 150 service.
Even thought it's "rated" for up to 172, Its 4 DL channels was the weakest link.
I'm very happy with the SB6183....should last me longer than a year this time!
