Pros: Nice looking.
Cons: Keeps partially hanging up. Sometimes it will not connect with my Kindle even though it is properly set up and will not connect to a browser via wired Ethernet after a day or two. Also the signal strength is not as good as the WRT54GL which costs a little more. The reset button does not seem to do anything; it certainly does reset the software to defaults.
Other Thoughts: Can be reset by unplugging and plugging in the power cable but I really don't want to do this every couple of days.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Price and speed. First SSD that easily exceeded the quoted seq read and write specs. Easily meets both for block sizes over 512 KB and seems optimized for 1024 and 2048 KB.
Cons: None so far!
After some months I found that the transfer rates were erratic and after some testing have confirmed it once you get beyond the first gig or two. Often dropping to below the typical transfer rates of a hard drive!
Other Thoughts: About two days experience but built a Win10 Pro system with no issues and so far seems stable. Real world speed to be tested with experience but I expect it to be good. Unless reliability is an issue, it is a great price.
I have replaced all of them since I found the erratic transfer rates. I confirmed this problem on two different MB and CPUs on both Win7 and Win10.
Pros: Fast, cheap and so far reliable. Reads and Writes are constantly barely under 500 MB/s every time I test one with HD Tune Pro 5.0.
Cons: None to my knowledge. Seen a few reviews with DOAs but not my experience and I have at least 5 of them and test them all with HD Tune Pro and Passmark Burn In.
After running these for some months now I thought I noticed sometimes the transfers were quick and others really slow. Sure enough, I found with testing that they have a burst rate that is high but after a 1 gig or two the transfer rates are highly variable, sometimes dropping to below a hard drive.
Other Thoughts: So far no DOA or loss of data and I have several 240 GB and a couple of 480 GB. Not all are installed but will be by the end of the month! Due to the erratic transfer rates, I have replaced all of mine. Never had a data accuracy issue so they do seem to be safe.READ FULL REVIEW
