Wow!

Solidigm P44 Pro 1TB M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 NVMe Gen4 Gaming TLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) SSDPFKKW010X7X1
Solidigm P44 Pro 1TB M.2 2280 PCIe 4.0 NVMe Gen4 Gaming TLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) SSDPFKKW010X7X1

Pros: Impressive how much of a jump there is from the 3.0 bus to the 4.0 bus. I can currently only use the 3.0 bus since my laptop is a bit on the old side for cutting edge technology, but this will help me secure a good deal with a newer windows 11 laptop with a horrible tiny storage drive. 1TB has always been plenty big enough for my OS. I love how easy these are to install. The notch makes it impossible to install incorrectly and the only negative is the tiny screw. Not as easy to manage for the older folks that need reading glasses! I am happy to say it is backwards compatible and works fine with my 3.0 bus on my Asus ROG GL503VD. I may not get the 7000MB/s speeds, but it is still plenty fast enough and will be transferred to my new computer once I am able to get one. I love how the write speed is near just as fast as the read speeds. A five year warranty and fantastic price makes this one of the best upgrades you can make for your computer.

Cons: My only negative with this drive is the power usage is a lot more than some others Ive tried. 7.5w during active writes is a bit high. If you are looking to save power consumption, this is not the drive to choose.

Overall Review: If you are looking for great speeds and dont concern yourself with higher power usage, this drive can fit the bill. Given a choice, Id go with lower power usage myself. Getting in the m.2 was such a game changer for those of us that went on the journey through IDE cables and mechanical drives. The impressive change from the speeds limited by the 3.0 bus and available with the new 4.0 bus isnt going to be noticed by a majority of computer users who will be looking at drives in this price range. If youre into using your computer for cutting edge results, I believe you will be spending a lot more than this.

Geek Toy

Netgear Powerline AV 200Mbps Pass Thru + USB Port (XAUB2511)
Netgear Powerline AV 200Mbps Pass Thru + USB Port (XAUB2511)

Pros: Great Music Extender This is what they are pushing on their advertising and for good reason! It's the best and only function I will use this device for! Unlike the USB port in my router, this one works with NTFS drives. That is a big deal for anyone who lost a bunch of pictures trying to sync on a FAT32 drive over a network. It doesn't take much for file corruptions on FAT32, and I haven't had any issues with a NTFS formatted drive. They are tough little things and can take a few drops. (Some plugs are harder to get to than others when you are trying to find just where you are going to put them!) They do not take up both sockets on the wall. If you put them in the bottom plug, a heavy duty surge protector is able to plug in without any problem in the top plug. (Providing the electric sockets are installed normally and not upside down) Being able to share sound wireless over the Wi-Fi is really cool. I've already enjoyed being able to listen to my playlist on the huge speaker we use for Karaoke and it made doing dishes not seem like such a chore. It isn't 100% perfect, as it may skip a beat/hic-up here and there. It is widespread and not very frequent and may go unnoticed for the most part. It's a great little toy, but I'm pretty sure a Bluetooth adaptor would do the same task and would be a lot cheaper than the asking price for this.

Cons: I plugged in a 256GB SSD to check out how the network storage would perform. Boy did it take me back to windows 95 days! Alright, that may be a bit harsh but 20 minutes to move a 1.2GB iPod video? Far too slow to be of any use! I plugged in our wireless printer that has been giving us a bunch of headaches and playing the disappearing game, and it appeared and said it was connected, but was unable to print. I didn't pursue it any further. I find it ironic the manual says to plan out where you'd like to set all this up, and a bit further it tells you to try a different plug if the connection isn't good. (Red Status Light) The first two plugs I tried did just that. The third plug is giving me a good connection of 148Mbps down and 74Mbps up. The manual is horribly misleading as some of the instructions refer to the Netgear Genie program when the tasks actually are done via the Powerline Utility. So if you find yourself following the instructions and saying "Mine isn't doing that!" Open the Powerline Utility and you will get somewhere! Netgear Genie will confuse newbie's who never played with Powerline extenders before. Even more so if you don't have a Netgear router. The startup screen shows Wi-Fi Connection (Not Enabled) and users having any trouble setting these extenders up will feel something isn't right. Netgear Genie from what I've gathered is a program geared for Netgear routers and really isn't needed for these extenders. In fact, I haven't found any useful function from the program at all for my setup even though the User Manual states otherwise! Some more advance settings will require a Device Password which is located on the product label. You might want to get this before you plug it in those hard to reach sockets! At some point I played with the security buttons. I changed it and it wasn't working, so I pressed the button on the opposite one first and then came back and pressed the other. Fiddled with this and that, did a firmware update, messed around some more. At some point I did a factory reset and things finally got up and running. I didn't think I was EVER going to see that Airplay icon on my iPod! When you install the Netgear Media Extender app, take caution if you've read the user manual. You don't need to "Manually Connect" if you want to play from your iTunes on your PC. The Airplay icon should appear in iTunes and like your iPod, it should work the same. If you "Manually Connect" like suggested, then may I save you a headache and suggest you disconnect and leave it "available" where your iTunes airplay can take it automatically! I'm confused by this still. The manual tells you to connect to play from your PC and don't forget to Disconnect or you won't be able to play music from your iPod and such. And it looks like they've fixed this to be automatic so you won't need to worry about it! Which is great, but why are you trying to confuse folks who actually took the time to read the user manual?

Overall Review: NAS Function isn't great unless you plan on only reading from the NAS or writing few and small files few and far between. USB 3.0 is backwards compatible with USB 2.0 so all your flash drives and such should work without a problem. Seeing how USB 2.0 is rated 480Mbps and these extenders are only 200Mbps, you won't even come close to the max USB 2.0 speeds. Keep that in mind if you wanted USB 3.0 ports in these. (There is absolutely NO point to that!) I'd also like to point out the 15A you may see listed on the device in the High Res picture. For those concerned, you really shouldn't be unless you plan on plugging in your deep freezer with something else. Under full load your deep freezer may draw 10-12 amps which when on a circuit with other appliances may blow the circuit. *Fridge kicks on at same time, and it may be too much for a 15A circuit* It's good practice to put your deep freezer on its own 20A circuit because that isn't something you want popping a circuit when you're not home and ruining all your food. If you have any concerns with this device and it's 15A rating, use Google to find out what all you plan on plugging into this will draw in amps. I just don't see anyone having issues unless they got something that draws a whole lot of Amps! (Shop equipment like Air Compressor?) Our house is less than 5 years old, however it is a modular home so that may be causing issues with some plugs not working very well. It's about 2200 square feet so the distance shouldn't be causing any issues. Of the 3 plugs I experimented with, the 3rd was the furthest away and is working the best.

So many options once installed!

CORSAIR QX RGB Series, iCUE LINK QX120 RGB, 120mm Magnetic Dome RGB Fan, Starter Kit
CORSAIR QX RGB Series, iCUE LINK QX120 RGB, 120mm Magnetic Dome RGB Fan, Starter Kit

Pros: My favorite mode is the new time warp! Its soft and easy on the eyes unlike that seizure inducing one! The magnetic dome bearing along with the 5 year guarantee really makes me believe this design is for long term. These have plenty of options and if you dont mind taking time to learn the software, you should really enjoy these if you like your computer giving a light show! I personally dont. I removed LED fans because I found them annoying and replaced them with plain black fans. When Im on my computer, Im looking at the screen, not the case! The only reason I gave these a go is the name Corsair usually means quality and I wanted to give them a shot. You can always turn off the lights if you dont like them. So with that in mind, seeing I only removed one egg, and the few negative things Im fixing to comment on about these. This has impressed me. I find myself looking over at the PC and the time warp mode I picked is really calming and soothing! The fans felt like three times more sturdy than any Ive ever installed before. The cables just nice and round and not so fragile! They fix the few problems I have with them, and Id say these are the perfect case fans!

Cons: My first concern was pulling them out of the box and going to separate them. WARNING! Dont bend up or down! Pull straight away from other fans! They should actually put that warning as a big label over all three fans; like for real! Kind of neat how between those connectors and the magnets, the group up really nice. If you want to spread them out across your case, thats where second concern comes in. The cables offered, do not offer much placement opportunities. That leads to the plugs being on opposite sides on each fan when separated. You REALLY need a 90 degree cable when you have to daisy chain from fan to fan to box! The box only has two ports. Nice that you can hook up to seven fans on each but what they are really focused on is the larger cases and grouping them together. And I believe this concern of mine is something that really should be on the design table for the next version, the placement of the temp sensor being on the X fan guard. With one of the arrows pointing towards that, Im guessing they want that side facing the inside of the computer for a more accurate reading. And that REALLY messes with install choices. If you want the front fans blowing cool air from the room over the heat producing components inside and the hot air being drawn out the back, this sensor placement produces a problem. Get a front fan guard going like you do the back and have a sensor on the front as well. Have the software let users input which fan has front side facing in the PC and which ones have the front side facing out. The software can then determine the temperature from both sides offering better functionality. Needing an open USB Expansion plug port on the motherboard and a six pin PCI power plug should also be made extremely clear on the product page. Full transparency because some folks are going to be sad if they have to give up a graphics card or USB Hub just to use these!

Overall Review: The product is still great, even with my mentioned concerns. Im enjoying them and with the way technology is evolving, I dont really see these future fans making it too much further into the future. Big bulky PCs are disappearing like 8 tracks, cassette tapes, and CDs have. Im lucky I had a need for these and they make my HTPC look fancy and new. If you need replacement fans and want the cool factor, I would recommend giving these a try. I just dont think Ill be in the market for any more anytime soon. But these making a good looking finish, going out with a bang!

OUCH! No cable included?

CORSAIR QX RGB Series, iCUE LINK QX120 RGB, 120mm Magnetic Dome RGB Fan, Expansion Kit
CORSAIR QX RGB Series, iCUE LINK QX120 RGB, 120mm Magnetic Dome RGB Fan, Expansion Kit

Pros: The fan is beautiful, well made and strong enough to push into fan holders some cases have. The white inner edge is very tough and is where I pushed with my thumbs a good bit to get them where they were suppose to be. The four screw holes have some dampening material built in which I may not have noticed if the thin metal edge of the case didnt scrape it making me cringe. Once installed properly and setup with the software, the fan can do unlike any other Ive ever used or seen. Quite awesome, but also quite time consuming and only for those that want the bling! The design is something else and Im hoping it means long life as well as all the other perks the design has. The 5 year guarantee really has me at peace and having used Corsair products and one warranty submission with zero hassle helps that peace of mind. Its also worth noting the magnetics placed in the fan help secure it to the case while you concentrate on getting the screws in. It was attracted to a few things it shouldnt have been which led me to the discovery. I believe the design was aimed at helping keep them held together when grouping them together.

Cons: If this wasnt the Lambo of case fans, I wouldnt be too pleased with some of the issues I have with it. The fan has direction arrows as if to suggest which way to slide the fan into your case. The temp sensor is along the X bar fan protector which is also the same way the arrows point. With some case designs, users would like the air to be pulled in from the front, pushed over the components inside that get hot, and vented out the back. With all the thought placed into the design of these, why not have a fan guard on the other side with a sensor as well? Note there are thin plastic films on both the front and back in the center. Hopefully they show up in the pictures Im including. And why wasnt a cable included with the fan? So close to being the perfect case fan, but not quite there. The software is also very cumbersome. When selecting the fan to identify, the colors showing up on the fan were not even remotely close to what was shown in the software. I only managed to figure out which one was which by turning on the time warp feature and changing colors on each one. And if you reset the computer and dont log in for the software to load up, the fans may not look like you expect. I had one purple, one green and one blue but now they are all green. At least the time warp effect is still going. Being limited with short cables and what is offered in the starter kit makes placement a challenge.

Overall Review: Key word for this fan is EXPANSION! If you dont have the starter kit or the controller box, this wont work. I do like the final results, but I really think these were meant for the bigger cases, not smaller HTPC ones. I would recommend giving them a go if you are able. They make an important part of your PC fun!

Couldnt have finished my install without them!

Corsair CL-9011123-WW iCUE LINK Cable, 2x 200mm with Straight/Slim 90° connectors, Black
Corsair CL-9011123-WW iCUE LINK Cable, 2x 200mm with Straight/Slim 90° connectors, Black

Pros: The good thing about these cables, it doesnt matter which way you plug them in. Unlike cables of the past that required a certain orientation to plug in properly, these are able to go in either way. The angled end was VERY helpful in connecting to the fan which happened to be really close to another piece in the case. Good round strong cables, it certainly makes you more comfortable than the thin ones on other fans!

Cons: While these cables came in handy and did work for my install, this is a small HTPC case Im working with and they barely worked. I didnt have any options on where to stick the receiver box because for all the cables to reach, there was only one small location on the side that it could stick too and have all the cables connect.

Overall Review: While quite pricey for top quality, I would only recommend these if youve measured your setup and are comfortable the length will be enough for you. With less than 8 inches, it makes it difficult to build your build how you want. Youre right back at doing what works instead! I believe offering multiple sizes would help people get more comfortable with giving these a chance in their setups.

Trimmer with a rumble!

Philips Norelco Multigroom Series 3000 All-In-One 13-Piece Trimmer, MG3750/60
Philips Norelco Multigroom Series 3000 All-In-One 13-Piece Trimmer, MG3750/60

Pros: It is small and easy to use. Does a great job cutting up my face fur. Easy to push button and you can use while plugged in. This was very important to me, because I hate the battery dying and you could be unable to finish trimming up your face! I was using a full size hair trimmer and this smaller size does a much better job on my mustache and gives cleaner edges. Less chance for opps and other mistakes. A very nice and easy to open package!

Cons: The vibration motor in this rumbles more than others Ive used in the past. It doesnt really sound louder, but you can feel the difference when holding it. Like you can give yourself a massage with it kind of rumble. As long as it works, I dont care too much. Just a warning if that kind of thing bothers you. One of the attachments was really scratched up bad upon opening the product. Quality was lacking on the one I got. The plug in hole at the bottom has a recessed way about it. The plug doesnt feel tight and secure and will fall out during use. This will encourage you to charge it before using, and youll have to support the plug while its plugged in if you need to use it when the battery dies. That or pick up the cord and plug it in again each time it falls out.

Overall Review: For the price, I would certainly recommend this. It does what youd want it to do without much effort. I do wish they wouldnt have compared their no oil needed to another brand because it makes you want to compare it to other brands and then you start to see all the imperfections with this one. Full disclosure, it is still a cheap trimmer. Nothing to call the news about!

Big Ticket Item / Did very well

Big Ticket items are usually a pain without a white glove delivery. When I bought it on sale, I was unable to purchase any white glove delivery, so I expected this to be a PITA. Surprisingly it was easier than I expected! While the delivery company could use some improvement. (First person to call pretty much gave me a window of 7-5 and wanted an answer of half an hour advance call notice or an hour over answering my questions.) I did call back and talk to someone else who sounded like a character from Monsters Inc. but got transferred to someone who was very kind and helpful. Let me know the driver had x deliveries before me and would probably be dropping my chair off around 2. I certainly put more thought into this than was necessary! They had a lift gate so it came off the truck very nicely and the pallet it was strapped on was one of the better blue ones. Pushed it a wee bit to get the dolly under it and my sister who came to help insisted it was fine as she rolled it right to my back door. If you take the chair out of the box, it would probably go through a single door just fine. I have a double door so I just opened the two of them. Unpacking was a bit interesting. I kept the cardboard separate from the foam. I ended up keeping this huge air packing bag that looked just like a pillow! Couldn't bring myself to pop it and recycle it. Yet. The chair is a bit heavy, but I didn't have far to go with it once getting it out of the box. The trash was heavy! Probably half of what the chair weights! Best news, it was all together already! No screwing the foot rest to the chair, or plugging in wires other than the power cord! So in the end, I'm glad I didn't have the option of a white glove delivery! Saved me that expense! It was a bit of work unboxing it and my sister didn't seem to think it was difficult rolling it through the yard to the back door! I reckon it would have been a different story if we had stairs to deal with or bad weather. My experience was rather nice! The chair itself on the other hand will have it's own review! This is the seller review, not the manufacturer!
