This review is from: SAMSUNG 840 EVO 2.5" 750GB SATA III TLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MZ-7TE750BW
Pros: Incredibly fast...
Cloning was ultra easy, did not even need the usb kit, did it by connecting the new EVO drive to a second internal SATA port. Cloned with the Samsung software.
Optimized windows 7 configuration automatically with ssamnsung software. AND if you have 2 GIGs of ram you can live without, you can double 2x or 1.5 the drive speed by activating the RAPID mode in the samsung software...
Other Thoughts: Dell Precision T7500 dual Xeon.... did have to put in an LSI 9212 4i4 to be able to extract full potential of drive. Windows 7 pro.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Incredibly easy to install.
Worked on the first try.
Windows quickly added the card automatically using a microsoft driver. Did install the LSI software for local server (workstation) and with that easily updated firmware, bios and other stuff. Practically did not improve speed of current Seagate 7500 rpm HDD. But its BLAZING noticeable with the new Samsung 840 EVO 750gb SSD.
Cons: Not that any other PCIe 2.0 card has the functions, but still I wish it had it.... AHCI capability through AHCI.... BUT STILL awsome speed i dont think i would notice any diference with AHCI....
Other Thoughts: installed on Dell Precision T7500 dual Xeon. Windows 7 Pro. Did upgrade simultaneously with the the new Samsung 840 EVO 750gb SSD.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: For the moment it works perfect from the install. The newest drivers start to match the data from nvidia benchmarking data.
Cons: Drivers for most programs such as Autodesk still need to be rolled out.
Other Thoughts: Installed ona a dual Xeon x5650 Dell Precision T7500READ FULL REVIEW
