This review is from: ASUS P5QL PRO LGA 775 Intel P43 ATX Intel Motherboard
Pros: Replaced my old Intel DE865PERL with this board. I just swapped the board and it worked fine with my old IDE hard drive. This is a basic board but has more than enough features for the average home user. Works really nice with my new SATA hard drives.
Cons: For some reason, if I have my Microsoft Comfort Curve USB keyboard plugged in when I boot, the mobo will not go past the post screen. I think it may be my keyboard, though.
Other Thoughts: Onboard audio is not bad at all. I use it. When I first installed this board, I had problems with my audio files skipping. After I bought a new hard drive with a clean install of Windows Vista Ultimate, it went away. Must have been a problem with conflicting software drivers.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Works great with my ASUS P5QL PRO mobo and Gateway 22 inch monitor. Plug and play and everything looks great. I like having two DVI outputs in case I run dual monitors one day.
Other Thoughts: No HDMI output, but I knew that when I bought it; therefore, not a con. I really do not notice any difference between the image quality on this card and my old ATI Radeon. Maybe because I am not a videofile?READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: Fit nicely in my old case. Stays cool. It has plenty of connections. It is nice and heavy, which is usually a good sign. I have not had any voltage problems that I had with my old power supply (some generic brand, I forget).
Cons: Lots of extra connections that I do not need.
Other Thoughts: I bought this for its power saving advertisement and to upgrade my power supply. I do not use my computer that much, so I do not know whether I am saving any material amounts of money or power.READ FULL REVIEW
