PC Power & Cooling ModXStream Pro Series 500 Watt 80+ Semi-Modular Active PFC Performance Grade ATX PC Power Supply (OCZ500MXSP)

Pros: Have been running this PSU for over 3 years now without any issues.

Semi-Modular design allows for leaving out any un-needed cables. It also comes with a nice bag for the extra cables.

Reliably has been providing power to my GTX 550 TI and the rest of my system (CoreDue 2.93Ghz, mATX Intel Mobo, Patriot RAM 4GB, Optical drive).

Cons: It does not have many Molex plugs or PCI-E 6-2 or 8 Pin plugs.

When a friend sold me a GTX 670 which requires x2 8pins, I had to use the double molex to 8pin adapters. That left me with no extra molex plugs to power my optical drive.

For this I only took off one egg as I should have looked into it before buying the card. Also I was able to find a cheap optical drive that used SATA.

Other Thoughts: Great for small systems and has been reliable for me for the past 3 years.

5 out of 5 eggs Inexpensive and gets the job done 10/04/2013

This review is from: Intel Pentium Dual-Core E6500 Wolfdale Dual-Core 2.93 GHz LGA 775 65W BX80571E6500 Processor

Pros: I have used this CPU for over 3 years now with no issues.

With a midrange graphics card (550 TI for me) it was able to run Crysis (yes, the original) at 1920x1200 with everything maxed except for Anti-Aliasing.

I have also had no issues running CAD software such as AutoDesk Inventor on the system.

Cons: This processor will run whatever is in the main window (active window) without a problem, but whatever is not the main window drops in performance. For example when I have a youtube window off to the side, but its not the active window it drops to about a frame-per-second.

I am not taking an egg off for this as the audio was fine and this was a minor inconvenience, and for the price and age of the CPU it is understandable.

Other Thoughts: An aging CPU that still has what it takes to get the job done!

Pros: I have been using this drive for over 3 years now with no issues at all. I have used it for burning all of my system backups, installing all disk based software, and ripping CDs.

Uses SATA power and data

Cons: None for me
