Price and Performance make this cooler amazing!

GELID Solutions CC-Siberian-01 80mm Hydro Dynamic Bearing CPU Cooler
GELID Solutions CC-Siberian-01 80mm Hydro Dynamic Bearing CPU Cooler

Pros: Keeps my Athlon II dual core 3.0GHz cool and looks really nice, too. Looks more expensive than what it is. Fan blades are white! Low profile heatsink looks nice. Super quiet without compromise.

Cons: Thermal grease that it comes with is junk. I replaced it with a stick of TG-2 grease and it made a huge difference. The clips seem like they are too short, but they are not. It was a little scary securing this to the CPU because of how tight it is.

Overall Review: A very tight, but secure fit. It felt like my mobo was going to snap in half or that the socket bracket was going to break due to the stress that you need to put on it to secure these clips down. After it was assembled, it felt good to have achieved securing it to my mobo. Also, the black bracket that comes with the cooler must be removed for some CPU sockets, like mine.

Worst layout, but functional board

GIGABYTE GA-A75M-S2V FM1 AMD A75 (Hudson D3) SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
GIGABYTE GA-A75M-S2V FM1 AMD A75 (Hudson D3) SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: Cheap Good budget/beginner board in terms of functionality Not DOA Socket FM1 Dual PCIe Slots USB 3.0 Ports SATA 3.0 Ports DX11 Compatible DDR3 Ram Slots

Cons: One of the worst layouts I've ever seen. Case fan power pins are on the opposite right corner of the board. Why?? Only 1 front USB connector. I have two of them so I won't be able to use 1 of them. Front switch connectors are located under the main power connector so make sure you attach those before putting your HDD in or you won't be able to reach or see them. Board does not come with foam to protect the circuitry on the bottom of the board. Only 2 RAM slots. (I knew this already though)

Overall Review: This is one of the worst mobo layouts I've ever seen. Why on earth is the case fan power connector on the opposite side top right corner of the board? I don't even think they make case fans with that long of a power cord! All the pins for the front USB and switches and leds are enclosed in a module type thing with walls so it makes it even harder to connect the connectors. The front LEDs and Switch connectors are located under the main 24 pin power connector instead of on the bottom side of the board. Why did they feel the need to put this here? You have to connect those before adding your HDD's or you'll have to take it out again. If you need a basic mobo and don't mind a couple of head scratching moments/headaches, get this board. I bought this for a pc that is going to run an ongoing powerpoint slideshow and will be on 24/7.

Nice drive, but one failed after only four months

OCZ Agility 3 2.5" 90GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) AGT3-25SAT3-90G
OCZ Agility 3 2.5" 90GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) AGT3-25SAT3-90G

Pros: Very fast. Boot up is fast. Loading programs is fast. Fast game play. WEI of 7.9!! RAID 0 with these is screaming fast. With two of these in RAID 0, I've never seen a computer run faster in my life. I love SSD's.

Cons: Failed after 4 months. Customer service not horrible, but not that great either. Really an 80GB drive once the system recognizes it, but this should be expected. See other thoughts.

Overall Review: I've been buying OCZ drives for a while now and in the beginning of August 2012, I purchased two of these SSD's. I configured them both in a RAID 0 configuration. Everything was super lightning quick for three solid months. Then, out of nowhere, I boot up my computer like I always do, and the RAID array reports "Error Occurred (0)" on one of the SSD's and Windows will not boot. I get to the login screen and once I put my password in, it freezes instantly. It will boot into safe mode, but after about 10 minutes (max), the whole system freezes and I have to do a hard reset. Luckily, within that ~10min window of time, I was able to backup my data to an external drive. I'm thinking that it is a defective SSD. I figured OCZ would have some type of warranty so I put in an RMA ticket on their website. Well for the last few days, I've been getting emails from OCZ with people who have been posting comments trying to help me troubleshoot the device. Apparently my RMA request turned into a discussion topic?? The SSD is defective and I already did some preliminary troubleshooting, but I am done troubleshooting and I just want a replacement. It doesn't look like I'll be getting a replacement with the way they are trying to troubleshoot it instead of just sending me a new drive. One of OCZ associates even said, "It is not recommended to format an SSD, but in this situation, it would be a good test." So you are telling me to do something to the drive that isn't recommended? I'm sure that won't work anyway, but even if it did and suddenly the drive started working, I would then have a degraded SSD because of your suggestion to do something that is not recommended to do. Yes, I understand that RAID 0 is not fault tolerant at all and I knew what I was getting myself into when I created the array. IMO, there is no reason why a hard drive should fail after only 4 months, let alone a solid state drive! I don't know if this will affect my future purchases of SSD's in which brand to buy, but I gave up on the RMA request and I purchased a Kingston Hyper X SSD. If one of the drives did not fail, this review would have been 5 eggs without question. Would I recommend this drive to someone? I'd say yes and to give it a chance, but just know that it may fail on you so be sure to back up your data and if I were you, I'd create images periodically so if the drive does fail, you don't have to waste a lot of time reinstalling everything all over again like I'm going to have to do.

Great SSD

Mushkin Enhanced Chronos 2.5" 90GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MKNSSDCR90GB
Mushkin Enhanced Chronos 2.5" 90GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MKNSSDCR90GB

Pros: Not DOA Fast SATA III Adequate storage

Cons: BSOD'd once on me, but after a reboot, it was fine. I have faith that this won't happen again. The 3.5" adapter's holes do not line up with the brackets that have to be attached to it in order for it to fit in my case. Only 90GB, but you are paying for speed, not capacity with SSD's.

Overall Review: I wish the adapter bracket that it comes with would be longer or something because the drive bay brackets that I have to use to be able to fit in my case go past the length of the adapter and pretty far past it. I have to use a rubber band to secure the drive bay brackets to the adapter plate on this drive. I got this drive when it was on sale, so I am very happy with the price/performance ratio. There are a lot of negative reviews on this SSD, so I was pretty hesitant about buying it, but I am glad I took the chance because it turned out to be a fantastic drive.

Inexpensive and keeps your RAM sticks cool

EVERCOOL EC-MC-BL Aluminum Heatsinks only
EVERCOOL EC-MC-BL Aluminum Heatsinks only

Pros: Keeps your RAM cool. Fits snug with correct RAM sticks. Looks nice. Looks expensive inside the case. Universal size. One size-fits most, if not all.

Cons: Must have chips on both sides of the memory stick or else the heatsinks are not going to fit together properly. The double faced tape that it comes with.

Overall Review: I get the idea that the double faced tape is to make for a secure fit, but doesn't this get in the way of the cooling purpose of the heatsinks? I love that these are so cheap and give your memory sticks a custom and expensive appeal to them.

Works for cheap

Pros: Works in my new business budget build Very inexpensive

Cons: None!

Overall Review: Seems to be working well in my ECS A885GM-A2 mobo. I have two of these plugged in with aluminum coolers wrapped around them and all seems to be working well. Great product for the price!! Highly recommended!
