Pros: CPU-Z shows DRAM Frequency 2000.1 MHz which is 4000 MHz Dual Channel. Fantastic! UserBenchmark shows Memory 32GB DIMM DDR4 clocked @ 4000 MHz at 125% OUSTANDING rating.
Cons: None Found
Other Thoughts: Todays RAM has to be purchased in one kit. Do not place two kits together. Each DRAM module has a SPD (serial presence detect) EEPROM. ALSO make SURE to go to the motherboards web site and download and check the QVL (Qualified Vendors List) to see it the memory has been tested to work. Not all DDR4 4000 is the same timing. Also on G.Skill's web site they also have QVL available too.
Also just placing the correct RAM modules into the correct motherboard will NOT make them go this speed. You must overclock the RAM correctly.
Pros: First let me say I had a lot to learn about memory. I assumed all DDR4=PC4133 was the same. So I purchased a nice new ASUS ROG Maximus IX Hero motherboard and two of these RAM kits. WRONG on my part! Let me explain.
First when purchasing a motherboard you need to go to that motherboard's web site and under support look for a Memory QVL list. That will tell you all memory that is compatable with the motherboard. Once I did this I found this memory numbers NOT to be on the list.
Second lesson was you MUST purchase all the RAM in one kit! Not two exact kits. The manufacter test each DIMM and pairs them up into kits.
Sure the RAM above worked, but would never even come close to the OC rating and would not run XPS settings. This is NOT a fault of these RAM sticks, it was MY fault in not knowing about the QVL memory list.
Also you can go on G.Skill's web site and they only show one motherboard that these DIMMs work in. That is ASUS ROG Maximus Apex motherboard.
Thanks to Newegg I have sent these back and reordered the correct RAM DIMMs for my motherboard. I now have checked the motherboard's QVL list and G.Skill's QVL list, and the ones I ordered today have the correct timing for my motherboard.
So don't be so fast and say the RAM is not hitting the promised speed. As in my case I learned.
Thank you Newegg for the return and reordering. Hopefully this review will help others not make the same mistake I did.
Cons: None, My mistakes
Other Thoughts: Learn what QVL list are. Qualified Vendor List. This will save you and Newegg a lot of trouble.
Thanks again Newegg! Love you guys!
Pros: Quality is number one in a fan and this fan is perfect. The mounting area has rubber so the fan housing is isolated from case frame. The stock picture does not do it justice. Nice looking fan in operation.
Other Thoughts: Wish I could post pictures on Newegg's web site reviews to show how wonderful this fan looks in real life.READ FULL REVIEW
