MBAM!
Pros: Does what MBAM does best, and it's not intrusive.
Cons: None
Overall Review: Didn't come with french fries?
Hot!
Pros: Gives enough power for a good system.
Cons: Runs very hot to the touch.
Overall Review: Might have to return because it smelled like burning plastic on arrival and it is running very hot.
Not Truthful Advertising?
Pros: The drive runs mostly without error. The read speed on larger file sizes does hit 500+MB/s. Drive was picked up by my bios without having to do any driver installs or bios updates. Installed on a new x99 Extreme4.
Cons: When I ordered the drive, the page for the MX100 stated write speeds of 550 and read speeds of 550. I would not have ordered it otherwise. Now the write speed on the page shows 300MB/s. After running a few benchmarks, the drive could not write faster than 346MB/s.. Read drops below write by about 30-50% when reading smaller files. I suppose it's decent, but it's not what I paid for. I could have easily coughed up another $70 and just gone with the 850 evo 500gb, as it was on sale as well; also haas a 5 year wrranty, and a reported max sequential write of 520MB/s.
Overall Review: I should have just gone with the 850 evo, if only I had known that the page had the wrong write speed information posted before purchasing. I've already installed it and transferred Windows to the drive and set my old drive as backup. Otherwise I would return the drive right now. Currently not worth the effort. Hopefully this drive will outlive its warranty and prove worthy; I'll probably replace it long before hand with a Samsung.
Not Good
Pros: None
Cons: After installation on my Windows 7 computer I got blue screened and one of my kernels was corrupted. I didn't have a backup disc and I had a work document that I needed for the next day, so I ended up buying Windows 8 directly from microsoft rather than on here. Went through hell getting that to work. I thought what the hell. I installed it on Windows 8, blue screened and It messed up some updates and drivers and blah. I had to reinstall a few times. Didn't install AVG until after I updated everything and went over to 8.1. It finally worked. My expiration date? This is for 2 years, yet after all the trouble I went through just to use it, it is saying I have a 1 year license. That is complete horse manure.
Overall Review: Don't ever install AVG Safeguard Toolbar. It will only cause you pain. AVG, where is my 2 year license I paid for?
NZXT Hale82-N 750w I tried
Pros: None
Cons: I did not get to test a working product. I tried to have the situation rectified by customer service over the DOA and RMA. I wait 15 minutes to get connected then disconnected almost instantly, your customer service representative that doesn't care. Poor business practice by Newegg. Poor quality product from NZXT, carried by Newegg. Not doing business with NZXT or Newegg again.
Overall Review: After this issue was resolved, I had planned to spend a couple hundred more here in the next week, but now I'll be taking my business elsewhere.
30hz
Pros: HDMI isn't capable of outputting more than 30hz with 4k. If you want real 4k resolution (at 60hz), use a display port connection.
Cons: HDMI is still playing catchup with 4k
