This review is from: ASUS MG279Q Black 27" IPS 144 Hz 4ms Adaptive-Sync (Free Sync) WQHD LED Gaming Monitor, 2560x1440 (2K),w/ Asus Excusive GamePlus and Flicker Free Technology, Pivot&Height Adjustment, Built-in speaker
Pros: - 1440p IPS provides an extremely beautiful experience when viewing it from multiple angles
- 144 hz allows high end hardware to flex its wings and provide smooth gameplay above 60 fps. This is experience is as smooth as butter. Beautiful in fact
- FreeSync hides any driver error that may cause screen tearing and continues to offer beautiful and buttery smooth gameplay
Cons: - Dead pixels. Bad backlight bleed. Asus you are such a horrible company at quality control. This monitor is not cheap by any means. In fact it's around $650, which is a premium to pay for any monitor. At least quality check the products before sending them out. It's disgraceful and tasteless to treat valuable consumers in such a manner. Nobody should have to RMA 2-4 times to get a perfect monitor at that price. Learn from this Asus.
- FreeSync limited on the high end to 90 hz
This review is from: MSI GeForce GTX 970 GAMING 4G
Pros: This card runs amazingly cool and more often than not it runs under 67C for me on most of my games. It also has very low power consumption making it easier to overclock, achieve higher framerates as well as keeping it more stable. This card's performance blows away my old GTX 770. On most games, I'm running 1080p Ultra settings with 2xMSAA and on some occasions 4x MSAA while getting higher than 60 frames per second. It's a really great card for sure.
Cons: The only con I can think of is the problems with SLI. Most Nvidia cards can SLI with each other as long as they are the same model. (i.e. EVGA GTX 970 & Gigabyte GTX 970). However MSI cards have an issue where it can only SLI with MSI cards (i.e. Two MSI GTX 970 Gaming). I figured this out while I was installing my second 970 (from EVGA) and the SLI bridge was not recognized. In order for two different cards where one of them is an MSI GTX 970 Gaming, you have to patch the Nvidia drivers yourself. It was a hassle finding this patch so hopefully MSI can help figure the problem out for future users who got their hands on a different brand. Otherwise still an amazing card.READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: It lights up and types fine for the most part. The keys are also responsive for the most part.
Cons: I can't seem for it to be able to use the shift key. The only way to capitalize my letters is by turning on the caps key and then turning it off after my initial lettering.READ FULL REVIEW
