This review is from: 145 mm Akasa AK-FN073 Yellow Super silent VIPER Case Fan New
Pros: fairly quiet, move a good amount of air, and is pwm. This is a good fan if you are looking for a 140mm fan that bolts to 120mm mount holes. I was hoping for a 145mm fan that bolted to 140mm holes. bummer.
Cons: Silly mount system
Other Thoughts: The header reads 145 mm fan, the description reads 140 mm fan. Though a good fan this is a 140mm, and uses the dreaded 120mm bolt pattern. where are all the 150mm fans??READ FULL REVIEW
Pros: very cost effective, low noise, and reasonably fast. Use these for data storage. movies, pictures etc. buying this, and other size Hitatchi drives over the last 20 years or so. (approximately 50 or so) has produced 1 doa, and no failures. 50 percent running daily server duty. the other 50 percent desktop duty. This is an extremely good failure rate!! This is un heard of in todays day and age.
Cons: They do make a little noise, noticeable in desktop use. Not enough to be bothersome though. case fans can be noisier.
Other Thoughts: Would, and do recommend Hitatchi drives to anyone looking for solid reasonable performance.READ FULL REVIEW
Other Thoughts: This is for a home server on 24-7, have not yet had a problem with 4 other machine streaming videos or music to and from it.
I needed an efficient server- I cool this with a Scythe SCMG-3000 120mm Heat Pipe CPU Cooler from the egg PASSIVELY no fan no noise woot!! Temps are at 27-c or 80-f idle, never been above 110-f under heavy load.
