3 out of 5 eggs Power could be better 06/21/2014

This review is from: Rosewill RHB-500 10-Port High Speed USB 2.0 Hub

Pros: Low price, worked good for several months.

Cons: Power adapter failed yesterday.

Other Thoughts: Has been running USB ASIC miners 24/7.

Pros: Very good performance, draws less power than the Kingwin 700 watt unit it replaced. Conservatively rated power output. I can't hear the fan over my CPU fan, which is not very loud, even with all the other fans turned off. The air coming out of it is cool.

Cons: Doesn't make coffee.

Other Thoughts: Great value in a rebranded Seasonic product. I recommend this PSU highly.

Pros: Very fast GPU, power consumption not extremely bad. Small size, hardly any bigger than the Sapphire 6850 it replaced. Fans are not very loud and can be tweaked with MSI Afterburner. It was on sale at a very good price.

Cons: Runs a little hot at stock fan speed. Runs fairly cool with the fan speed boosted by MSI Afterburner. Generates enough heat that it persuaded me to buy a larger (HAF 212) case to replace my old Nikao Dragonfire.

Other Thoughts: I uninstalled and reinstalled the graphics driver in Windows 8 when upgrading from a 6850. I probably should have tried the old driver first. I was able to use the same Linux graphics driver.
