ASRock works well with HD-5770

Pros: I upgraded my system. Purchased a Radeon Vapor-X HD5770 and installed it next to my Nvidia GeForce 7800GS. Everything is working just fine and the Windows graphics experience jumped from 5.6 to 6.0. Rest of the setup is Bios 2.20a with 4GB OCZ DDR2 800 installed (see only 3.25) and a 5200 overclocked untied at 3200 and 700W OCZ PS, running 3 DVI monitors.
Cons: Perhaps the fact that the PCI-e slot is only 4x will bother me at some point, along with the fact that I am wasting almost a GB of memory, but right now the machine is running just fine.
Stay far away

Pros: Only one of two sticks worked after 2 days. When I booted up the first time I saw 4GB installed. However, I never saw it again. A suckers rebate.
Cons: One stick showed intermitant failure after 2 hours, the other stick only worked at latency 5. On auto or 4 I got BSODs every hour.
Overall Review: I do not understand how they can let these out of the factory without real life testing. Both sticks passed memtest but clearly one stick is completely shot and the other stick does not meet specs. This makes is very hard to build a new system since you are not really sure which parts are failing. Stay away from this AT ALL COSTS or you will waste HOURS trying to find what part has failed. Newegg was very helpfull in giving me a complete refund.
works well

Pros: Well packed, and meets the highest memory standard for this motherboard.
Cons: None
Overall Review: Great, would order again
works well and is quick

Pros: works well and is quick, so far has been working well with multiple reads and writes.
Overall Review: Seems solid, time will tell
Nice fa but did not fit my board

Pros: nice quiet fan well isoated
Cons: Did not fit on my board. The mounting pins were not in the correct position no matter how hard I tried to make it fit. Went back to my old heat sink.
Good drive so far

Pros: Good price per GB, so far so good. Seems pretty quite to me.
Cons: Not a lot of help installing it from Hitachi. This is a bad choice if your computer only has SATAI, and you want to transfer your operating system from the old drive to the new one.
Overall Review: Compared to WD, Hitachi provides little support in configering the drive. It comes set up as SATAII but if you want it to run as SATAI you have to install it in a system that HAS SATAII and then run there their software from bootup to make it SATAI. They also do not provide any software to move a drive image from one drive to the other the way WD does.
