Love the software! 2/28/2020 9:40:49 AM

Overall Review: The added step of installing the software is the most complicated part of setting this up. It is so worth it! You can see in real-time what your power draw is, spikes, drops and battery status.

More Harm than Good 6/18/2019 7:50:01 AM

Pros: It's reasonably priced.
When it has a working battery it will let you shut down your PC normally within a 5-10 minute window and possibly save your work.

Cons: Mine was just over 1 year old when it started randomly shutting off and my PC with it. It actually caused more damage than it was supposed to prevent.
I now get random hardware failure blue screens and failed boots. I contacted CyberPower support and this is what they said.

"When the battery on these units go bad, anything connected to the battery + surge outlets may randomly lose power, even when the unit is connected to utility power"

That defeats the whole point of the UPS in the first place! The software shows it's got a full charge on the battery and there was no warning that there was anything wrong with the unit. There's not even a warning beep. I tried that self-test and it didn't work.
I tried plugging in a lamp and then unplugging it....nothing. It did work once properly soon after I bought it. That's it.

I'm in the process of claiming hardware damage to my SSD as now it does constant check disks, blue screens, and failed boots.

It's only a few months old Samsung M.2 Evo 500GB.

Overall Review: Serious design flaws. Defeats the whole purpose of power redundancy.

Meh 8/11/2018 9:00:11 PM

Pros: it definitely works

Cons: "simulated sine wave" is not suitable for desktop PCs.

I don't like the fact that this characteristic is obfuscated.

Very Pleased 4/17/2017 4:03:02 AM

Pros: Replace a UPS that was probably 10 years old. This one cost less than the old one, it's smaller, has double the power and twice as many outlets. What's not to like? Also, once again, Newegg was the best. Two days from order to when it was sitting on my front porch. You guys are great.

Cons: None
