Is this suitable for a Home office?

Its a very nice UPS, but a little expensive. It can run a long time on battery. I use one for a couple servers in an office. I think its better to use the usb cable to tell the computer(s) to shut down and wait for power, rather than run a long time.

? I need a ups system to open a 120volt 6amp roll up door and close it in case of a loss of power, time to open the door is appx 20-30seconds

This unit should be more than capable of supplying the necessary current to open a close a garage door such as yours a couple times. Although it is not specifically designed for that

The real issue is how long the power has been off prior to using the garage door opener.

The garage door opener will have a power draw even when it's idle, and the UPS itself runs down it's battery maintaining operations while the line it is connected to is dead.

If you think it will only be used immediately after power goes out, this unit will probably suffice. If you think it could be several hours between the power going out and the use of the garage door, you will need a UPS with a  lot more storage capacity.

Brand new batteries, with nothing devices connected, device reports 9 hours runtime available.  Most of the power is lost to heat generated from running the inverter.  The more watts you use, the lower your run will be.  Inverter runs on 24V and is connected to a pair 12V SLA 17Ah batteries.  Cyberpower sells replacement batteries, or you could get them elsewhere.
