Appearance, Design, LCD Display, but mostly, customer support.
- can shutdown my computer after some time on battery. - Can power my 300W system for ~1H - silent operation - web GUI to monitor the system - installed agent popup a warning when power is lost. - warranty is for 3 years
Bought this to use on my storage server, I have 4 harddrives, a single core AMD sempron and onboard video. I get about 17 mins of runtime.
Small footprint Excellent capacity for gaming midtower (34 minutes of runtime) Better price than competitors for same capability
1500w / 1500VA for 24/7 protection against Maines frequent outages during the winter months. Just received and charging, super excited to use this after my APC 500W started to instantly discharge batteries during power outages thanks to a bad transformer.
-Way smaller than I expected -Very quiet -Screen is bright and I like the different information you can display like run-time and watt usage -Fit and finish are great I actually prefer this design to the newer editions from APC -1103 Joule surge rating is a great bonus -Mine was made/tested 3/25/18 so its a new unit, which is great because I know I got a fresh battery. (not something that is really guaranteed when you buy a product that has been out for awhile)
I like the fact that I can plug my high end computer into the APC SMC1500C along with my monitor, printer and other components into it and still not having to max out the total power consumption. I like the way the screen is so I can read what I need to see the UPS is working properly.
Keeps my gaming PC up and running at full load when my power blips. Very nice voltage regulation. LCD is neat.
- Power conditioning! I can't tell you how many people I know who have had high priced gaming rigs destroyed by low and high voltage spikes. You need some sort of power conditioning to keep your stuff safe! - Hot swappable batteries. I love this. No need to shut down when you have to swap out the battery, and the unit provides a level of conditioning even without the battery, so no need to worry if you fumble replacing it for a few minutes. - Small footprint. These units get smaller all the time, and yet still offer the same level of protection and number of outlets. - The Cloud! I know, it's a marketing term, but it's really nice to scan a code and be notified when you have power events. You still have the option to hardwire this thing, but why?
LCD monitor for incoming voltage, battery capacity, battery power, unstable voltage, unit test. 180 " Removable LCD unit so you can mount it Flat or Tower. Auto-Matic Voltage Regulator Keeps voltage constant.
Wow, this UPS is nice. I was a little sceptical buying from cyberpower as I've never owned one of their products before, but I'm glad I went ahead with this UPS. It has 9 outlets. Thats n-i-n-e outlets, 5 of which are on battery backup. Thats incredible. A majority of the other battery b/u I was looking at at this price had about 4-5. It's not very big at all either, fits very easily underneath my desk, and it puts off virtually NO heat. The LCD is very neat and allows you to see how much time you have left on you battery power, your input and output voltage, the battery's capacity, and a few other screens. It keeps my computer well over 11 minutes on battery backup. This unit also has AVR protection and the auto shutdown software, which if you are too lazy will display everything that is displayed on the lcd screen itself. Also the beep it makes when the power is cut is not annoyingly loud as on other units. It's very aesthetically pleasing too look at to top it all off.
Unit worked great right out of the box. Charged overnight as suggested. Great having the watts display. My third APC UPS (all which are still working great by the way)
I have the older APC SMC1500 and it has improvements. I like that this has more time when power is shut off. The APC SMT1500 C can handle heavier loads and the menu status screen is better even though it still has the same size screen.
Easy to view screen is very helpful.
Bought this to replace another brand that (was defective?) would not work with my NAS box (a Seagate BlackArmor 440 NAS). The NAS box would not see the other brand and could not manage it. This one works perfectly (see Other Thoughts below). Lots of features. This is not only supporting the NAS box, but my router (a Netgear WNDR 4500), Load is reading at 8%, with a runtime of 55+ minuets. This gives me room to either plug in the cable modem or the external USB drive I use to backup the NAS box (yeah, I know.. it's a single hard drive, but it's used as an off line backup to the NAS).
Nice LCD screen displays the internal information Easy to use buttons The ability to turn the power loss alarm off during extended power outages Sturdy enclosure Software to monitor the UPS's internal information and change control settings No noise when using line power
Compact, quiet, high quality, great power. It works great at providing power for my gaming pc as well as my home theater sound system that includes an amp and a subwoofer. Had the power cut out a week ago for a few seconds and I didn't even notice a flicker in the monitor. I highly recommend this unit.
Great price on 300 Watt 1 RU unit. I have 6, all work well.
