It works like an RTX 3070 and performs like one with no real drawbacks except that it's not an RTX 3080 or 3090.
I love this card, handles absolutely everything I have thrown at it. While never going above 67°C while under extremely heavy loads. Normal Temps for 4k gaming is between 47-55°C. Also with price drop $739 is a great deal for this card.
Very quiet Fits great Looks great
Currently testing on Warframe, Max in game quality. 2560x1440 / 1440p, 120 fps. Holds steady no matter what.
Really nice card upgrade from 1070. Playing MWO on ultra at 60 FPS.
-New and original sealed as expected -its not a 3080 but.. for someone wanting to run 1080p 144hz full bore on 95% of titles its beautiful -runs cooler than expected. The three fan design in performance mode still run below 65 degrees
Excellent Pc gaming experience. Great Led lighting. Handles graphic intensive games with ease. No coil whine. Minimal fan noise.
Compact Plays everything with Ray Tracing Acquired on shuffle Easy to overclock Cool DLSS makes unplayable settings run well
-doesnt run that hot -12gb vram -built like a tank -got it for less than a grand -destroys graphic intensive games at 1440p -looks cool -quiet -msi center not that bad(not explored much)
Biggest pro was being able to get this at msrp. I was lucky enough to win the shuffle. Easy install. Packaged well and it overall looked really nice. Unboxing it looked and felt as expensive as it was. Package came on time and it was shipped and protected well. Card is a little beast. Idled a bit warm due to no fan mode, but after setting a more aggressive curve and overwriting no fan mode it idles at a chilly 32 and is rarely over 75 on the most demanding games. Its not the strongest card out there and isnt a frame rate machine but it can easily hold 40 on average on minecraft with RTX in 4k and was holding 40 on high settings in bf2042 beta.
- Nice packaging. - Brand new GPU. - Works perfectly.
*Forgive the picture quality I took it through a glass. I don't believe there's any scratching on the gpu. I think that's a mark on the glass. Where my pc is setup it's hard to take a photo when it's on. Also that's two different pci cables and not a daisy link. Hard to tell in photo. Very powerful gpu for 1080p and 1440p gaming that supports ray tracing! Maybe considered a little lower end for 4k gaming but I've been having fun with it at 4k and didn't want to spend much more money than the current sale price. The ray tracing works good at 4k too but it depends what you consider good. I'm pretty much good with anything above 30fps as long as the frames don't drop below that often. When I bought this it was on sale for $599 with a $10 rebate bringing it to 589.99 but after taxes around $629. Gigabyte is a very trustworthy company. They've honored their 3 year Warranty in the past. Some other Graphics card vendors such as Sapphire will treat the customer poorly and will not honor their small 2 year Warranty. I usually find deals on Gigabyte and MSI brand gpus. They're usually cheaper than the competition. EVGA is always expensive compared to Gigabyte and MSI. I think Asus runs deals every so often. The gpu brands I've owned are XFX 8800 gts 320mb, Gigabyte 470, Gigabyte 570(Gigabyte honored warranty and upgraded me), MSI gtx 760, Gigabyte 1070 8gb, Sapphire 580(died on me and Sapphire was rude to me and didn't want to honor warranty), MSI 480(died on me but was used card. Probably a miners card). MSI 5600 xt 6gb(traded it for rx 5500 xt4g and got cash from it.) I don't ever recommend trading for cards because you might not be so lucky and get a dead one. Also didn't realize at the time the trade was going to be for a Sapphire rx 5500xt 4gb but it ended up working out fine. Didn't die on me yet! Still don't recommend Sapphire. I highly recommend Gigabyte and MSI products because they're usually offering the better deals and their Customer Support from my experience has been one of the best. I had an MSI motherboard that I thought was defective but I think the bios was off on it and MSI fixed it. I now make sure to keep my Bio updated on it. - White GPU/Silver goes great with my Corsair 678c case. - Huge upgrade coming from an rx 5500 xt 4gb - Sign up on Gigabyte Aurous website to get the 3 year Warranty - At the time of this review Gigabyte on Newegg is offering the cheapest price on RTX 3070 8GB. Comes in both white and black variation depending what you preder. - Cool rgb light on the Gigabyte logo. They also have software to change the color. Right now I have mine red. - I can't emphasize enough of about my love for Gigabyte and MSI products. They usually just work and if there does end up being an issue and they deem that the user isn't at fault they have no issues replacing parts or in some case maybe even upgrading parts. I have love for Gigabyte and MSI.
Coming from a rx 480 4 gig card performance is great. I got the card cheap from newegg.
Way better then my gtx 750 ti Look awesome
So far so beast. Works like a charm, the RGB is fun and I so far so not have coil whine. Its a very pretty card aesthetically anyway. Nice upgrade from a 2080 TI.
Triple design fans Has multiple display ports which is very nice Runs almost every game I have on 1080 at max settings with lowest fps at 80fps Solid cooling design
This is the sweet spot. It is a great performer that is easy to build and control. It runs cool and is robust. I've had zero issues with it and the color, contrast and refresh are excellent. I liked it so much in my gen 10 i7 build that I bought it again for my gen 12 i5, ddr5 z690 build and it's just as good, if not better there! I don't think the extra money for a 3080 or 3090 is work it. This is just such a great gpu. Definitely a good buy. Make sure to get a case that can handle triple fan gpu's it is very long.
- Great balance between price and performance - EVGA has been my favorite hardware brand for ages due to their outstanding service and support - The lag is gone in every game where I got a little bit before - I dig the RGB, and it's controllable from my MSI motherboard's software
Strong performance and great looks. Barely above msrp when compared to other brands
Great performance for the price
