CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif., August 23, 2011 -- Newegg Inc., the largest pure-play technology-focused retailer online, announced today that Robert Bellack has been appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Mr. Bellack is a senior financial executive with more than 25 years in the digital media, ecommerce and publishing spaces.
Mr. Bellack has strong experience managing organizations through dramatic change, which has included growing and nurturing start-ups and driving change in mature organizations. He is a founder of Zetabid.com, and most recently served as the company’s CEO. He also served as CFO and SVP of LA Times Media Group, the largest business unit of Tribune Company/Los Angeles Times Media Group, with over $1 billion in revenue and 3,500 employees. Previously he was a founder and CFO/SVP of Classified Ventures, an online classified advertising publisher serving automotive and real estate markets which produced websites such as Cars.com, Apartments.com, and HomeScape. Before that, Mr. Bellack served as CFO and VP of Administration and Operations of Compton’s New Media, a developer and publisher of consumer educational software with a 500+ title catalog with distribution through major retail and ecommerce.
Mr. Bellack has an MBA in Finance, Marketing and International Business from Northwestern University, J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from DePaul University, in addition to being a Certified Public Accountant in Illinois. He will be reporting directly to S.C. Lee, the CEO of Newegg North America.
