Tool Leverages SEMA Data Co-Op to Ensure Auto Part Compatibility
October 21, 2014 – Los Angeles, CA – Newegg, the leading tech-focused e-retailer in North America, today announced the official launch of an auto configurator tool for its Automotive category. The tool gives customers the option of entering basic vehicle information such as year, make and model to find the specific aftermarket auto parts compatible with their cars. Newegg has teamed up with the SEMA Data Co-Op (SDC) (http://semadatacoop.org/) to ensure the auto configurator utilizes industry standard ACES data to determine compatibility.
“Shopping online for the right aftermarket automobile parts has traditionally been a tricky prospect,” said Soren Mills, Chief Marketing Officer of Newegg North America. “Newegg’s new auto configurator tool removes guesswork from the process, empowering our customers to confidently purchase the exact parts they need to maintain and repair their cars.”
Using Newegg’s new auto configurator tool is a quick and easy process. When visiting the Automotive Category homepage (http://www.newegg.com/autoconfigurator), customers can select a vehicle’s year, make, model, trim and engine specifications. Newegg then provides aftermarket parts specific to the vehicle. Customers are guaranteed the parts they find will fit the vehicle they’ve input.
