Great overall throughput. Amazing SATA see & random write speeds!
all 4 of my 4TB Western Digital drives in my NAS failed in the last year (after warranty period ended). Replacing all 4 drives over the last 4 months. Currently Seagate has slightly better quality than W.D. These Ironwolf drives have a reasonable price and quality.
Worked perfectly in my two bay Synology NAS. I would recommend these drives.
- Large capacity especially if you download a lot of stuff. - Only Newegg has 20TB versions. Canada Computers only has up to 18TB Ultrastar versions - It's Western Digital Western Digital customer service is a thousands times better than the @$$hats at Seagate.
Easy to use and came fairly quickly.
Less expensive per TB than other NAS drives 5900 rpm so they run really cool, NAS reports 31C/87F idle temperature, and 33C/91F under heavy load. Seem fast. Gigabit network gets me avg write speed 110MB/s in RAID5. I only get 52MB/s with WD Red Pro NAS drives.
More storage space, easy install for both tower and OS, super simple and easy
- Good Space - Reliable
No Problem with these drives. Plug them in, initialize, format and you're off and running. Great 5 year warranty and high duty cycle are the draws here.
Delivery service was very fast. Easy installation and quick detection. Compatible with Asus Z690 mother board, Core i9 12900KS, DDR5 RAM 6600mhz. Before I had tried to use 4tb Seagate NAS ordered from another online market. Faced too much trouble. Product was not detecting by system. Longer booting time. At the end I returned back. As a new costumers, It is my 2nd order. The first one was my bad luck AMD Asrock RX6950XT, a little compatibility issue, but thanks to NewEgg, accepted easy return/refund policy. Impressive costumers service.
All up and running in nas synology server. Running 24/7. Quiet and decent speed. More time will tell but all great so far
Great HDD, very quiet. No problem with setup.
Simple to install, relatively fast and making my life easier than it was with too many external drives on the go.
* Super easy upgrade from an Adaptec 6405 to this. Just plug the card in, attach the internal cable (once you have it), attach the cables to your drives in whatever order, the card determines what the correct order is automatically and asks you to confirm. * Twice the cache of the 6405
Reasonable price for back up storage of old files.
Arrived and installed 2 days ago (5/26/21). So far it's working fine. Will update if issues arise.
Bought 14 of these to replace 12 [1TB] WD Green Hard Drives. These are rock solid hard drives!!! I have all 14 of them in a RAID 6 and I am getting no errors or issues with these hard drives. I have transfered 10TB to them with out issue.
Tons of space and lots of speed.
