Well Worth It!

SAMSUNG 830 Series 2.5" 512GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MZ-7PC512B/WW
SAMSUNG 830 Series 2.5" 512GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) MZ-7PC512B/WW

Pros: Installed in 15" 2011 MacBook Pro. From bare metal to logging in (total install time), roughly 19 minutes. (Using a USB installer). I thought that was okay. I loaded VMware Fusion in 5 SECONDS. Not bad. What really got my attention was installing the Monster known as MS Office 2011 for Mac....in 38 SECONDS. That was it. I'm not going back.

Cons: In 6 months, I'll probably complain they got cheaper.

Overall Review: I am upgrading my wife's 2010 MacBook Pro to the 256GB version of this for Xmas, but if the price drops on this.... The LOUDEST part of the notebook is now the optical drive when it is in use.

Great upgrade from 5400rpm

Western Digital Scorpio Black WD7500BPKT 750GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 2.5" Internal Notebook Hard Drive Bare Drive
Western Digital Scorpio Black WD7500BPKT 750GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 2.5" Internal Notebook Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: Reliable. I've used Western Digital notebook drives in past machines, so I knew what I was getting into. A solid, dependable notebook HDD is exactly what I got. A nice upgrade (and not insignificant) from the 500GB/5400 rpm that comes with the 2011 15.4" MacBook Pro (2.2Ghz i7 / AMD6750)

Cons: None, so far.

Overall Review: I had tried Seagate's Momentus XT hybrid in a 13.3" MBP. I didn't quite see the performance gains I had hoped. (It may be better on Windows). I had considered an SSD for this, but the reviews made their performance sound somewhat inconsistent and questionable. That's why I stuck with Western Dig Scorpio Black.

Excellent in 2011 15.4" MacBookPro

Patriot Signature 16GB (2 x 8GB) 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Laptop Memory Model PSD316G1333SK
Patriot Signature 16GB (2 x 8GB) 204-Pin DDR3 SO-DIMM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Laptop Memory Model PSD316G1333SK

Pros: 16GB at roughly $10/GB? Not bad. I considered another memory vendor but they wanted almost twice the money. I installed this before I even booted the notebook for the first time. I had no problems with boot and applications open ridiculously quick. (Not SSD quick, but CLOSE). Glad I chose NewEgg!

Cons: So far, none.

Update- NO LOW PROFILE BRACKET INCLUDED!

XFX GeForce 9400 GT 1GB GDDR2 PCI Express 2.0 x16 Video Card PVT94GZAFG
XFX GeForce 9400 GT 1GB GDDR2 PCI Express 2.0 x16 Video Card PVT94GZAFG

Pros: 1GB of graphics ram for $60!

Cons: Mine did NOT ship with the low-profile bracket. As I said in my last review, my dad ordered this same card not 3 weeks ago, and got his. He didn't need his bracket so I got it, and now it's working fine in my HP Pavilion 3127c.

Overall Review: Played COD2 @ 1440x900 with all the bells and whistles on. Good framerate. Bumped Vista index to 4.8 overall on the HP 3127c. (Graphics are now in the 5.0+ zone). To the Egg....you guys are awesome, but make sure your suppliers give you ALL the parts!!!

Great bang for buck!

XFX GeForce 9400 GT 1GB GDDR2 PCI Express 2.0 x16 Video Card PVT94GZAFG

Pros: I originally put this in a build I did for my Mom & Dad. Mom is heavy into Shutterfly, photo editing, etc. With a Pentium D 2.5GHz and 4GB of DDR2 800, this thing works like a CHAMP. I bought myself one for a used HP Slimline Pavilion 3127c. 1GB of video RAM for under $60? That's enough power for what I'm doing (light gaming, VMware ESXi console).

Cons: It can't play Crysis on HIGH?

Overall Review: My first experience with low-profile. But all the parts came with my parent's card, so I know what to expect. Had a XFX 7300GS before and it served me well.

Perfect!

A4Tech KL-5 2-Tone 88 Normal Keys 7 Function Keys USB or PS/2 Mini X-Slim Keyboard
A4Tech KL-5 2-Tone 88 Normal Keys 7 Function Keys USB or PS/2 Mini X-Slim Keyboard

Pros: This is the PERFECT size for my small computer cart! I can now fit my micro-atx PC, mouse, keyboard, LCD, and architect's lamp on top of the entire desk, leaving the slideout keyboard tray for other uses! The quality is top notch for the price...this keyboard feels really, really solid, and is very quiet, compared to the standard keyboard I replaced it with.

Cons: None!

Overall Review: New Egg, as always, has perfect service. And Fed Ex got it here a day early....
