Reliable and fast SSD

Crucial M4 2.5" 128GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) CT128M4SSD2BAA
Crucial M4 2.5" 128GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) CT128M4SSD2BAA

Pros: After extensive research I went with this SSD. It's performance is widely known, the controller is solid and it's backed by crucial. Do make sure to update to the latest firmware when you get it, it only takes a few minutes and resolves an issue they were having.

Cons: None

Overall Review: First time with an SSD, the difference is astonishing, I can restart the PC and be in windows and ready to use within 10 seconds.

Best case I've owned

Antec P280 Black Aluminum / Steel Super Mid Tower Computer Case
Antec P280 Black Aluminum / Steel Super Mid Tower Computer Case

Pros: Plenty of room inside Easy to make a clean looking setup free from clutter Good cooling for an enclosed case Dust filters Has all the modern case features you would expect from Antec and solid build quality as well. You won't be disappointed, would definitely buy again for another build.

Cons: If you want to route your cables in an ideal fashion you will want extensions for at least your 12v 8pin connector, a molex extension for connecting the fan controller hub, and extensions for fans depending on how clean you want it to look

Overall Review: I didn't have any problems with the grommets falling out, I think one came out one time. I didn't find it hard to put the panels back on either, though it could have been helpful to be able to leave the screws out of the mount side. The case is almost silent with fans on low. The front panel muffles the sound of 2 antec tri cools used as intakes on medium, slightly audible on high.

Great board

ASUS P8Z68-V LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
ASUS P8Z68-V LGA 1155 Intel Z68 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Packed full of features. UEFI BIOS is easy to use and has all the features an enthusiast could ask for. Running an i5 2500k @ 4.5ghz on it without issues. Plenty of clearance around the socket for aftermarket HSF.

Cons: The USB ports are packed extremely close together near the top of the panel, so if you've got a device that has a bit of bulk to it you'll want an extension for it.

Great budget board

ASUS M5A97 AM3+ AMD 970 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard with UEFI BIOS
ASUS M5A97 AM3+ AMD 970 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard with UEFI BIOS

Pros: Paired it with a 960T Zosma and took it to 3.8ghz with no issues, rock solid, quality.

Cons: Lacks the power/phase control of the higher priced boards, but you get what you pay for.

Great budget CPU

AMD Phenom II X4 960T - Phenom II X4 Zosma Quad-Core 3.0 GHz Socket AM3 95W Desktop Processor - HD96ZTWFGRBOX
AMD Phenom II X4 960T - Phenom II X4 Zosma Quad-Core 3.0 GHz Socket AM3 95W Desktop Processor - HD96ZTWFGRBOX

Pros: Overclocked it straight out of the box to 3.8ghz at stock voltage. Don't plan on taking it any further, but it would likely do 4ghz easily with a voltage increase. Great performance for the money. Cooled by a Coolermaster Hyper 212+.

Cons: None

Overall Review: Tried unlocking the extra 2 cores, but it wanted more voltage than I wanted to give it for 24/7 use. I prefer reliability/long lifetime. It wanted 1.42v for 6 cores @ 3.4ghz. Can't dock any eggs because I purchased this as a Quad.
