Pros: nice and pretty fans and glass. price was sinful I'm sure I should feel guilty. diypc stepped it up for this case.
Pros: has mounts for 2.5" drives, Easy to build a tidy looking system. Good options for 3.5" and 5.25" drives. Cool down fan mounted in side panel, blows right onto my extreme overclocked gpu. Also cools motherboard. Fit my atx board like a champ.
Cons: slot cover breakouts are a pain to remove. Dorky sticker covering dummy card-reader ports.
Overall Review: My opinion on diypc cases in one word. Utilitarian. But this is pretty cool looking, as are most of their cases.
Pros: easy steam code activation and download.
Cons: not all games are this price!
Overall Review: wild pc games!
Pros: All I needed was to remove the expansion slots breakouts before mounting the motherboard. Build went nicely otherwise.
I like building with diypc cases, I own 2. Both were fine and look good.
Cons: overall you know you've got a budget case and since the one review said there is no way to mount a liquid cooler; I count that as a con but I have air cooling anyway.
Overall Review: good looking but cheap. Easy setup. Take your time building you'll be less frustrated.
Pros: New and has hdmi , runs many a game just fine. Works well and is quiet.
Cons: Pretty terrible 3d gaming benchmark results, No pretty retail box.
Pros: so far so good, the hgst drive overheated, this wd drive is working fine
Cons: when you get it you must go to administrator tools in control panel then to disk management and initialize the drive then create a new simple volume and format it. Then hook it to your router or nas. or use it on a computer.
Overall Review: I am using this as external storage on my nas .
Pros: I like the price, looks, and performance.
Cons: has to be setup in bios, uses xmp, clocks at 1600 but then xmp does not up the speed but performance is good. clocks at 1333 and xmp ups it to 1600 but performance is not as good, clocks at 1866 without xmp and performance is not as good.
Overall Review: haven't tried 1866 with xmp. can't find any help on their website about what it is designed to oc to. People keep reviewing the heat spreader as cheap or flimsy but I think it is a good thermal dynamic design. People don't understand mechanical design is all.
Pros: Well I am glad it turned on and everything worked. I have a dvd burner, fan controller, ssd,and 3 hdd's. It is an fm2 micro-atx board with a 100 watt A10 5800k. Powers everything and could even power a gpu if I get one. Nice finish matte black, seems to be smaller or less depth into the case which is a nzxt tempest 210 Cables are clean black and they are easy to work with, no rainbow spaghetti. I used every cable but the pci-e. so no major deal not being modular.
Cons: Atx 4 pin would not reach behind mobo for connecting, had to leave it showing in front. Air from psu fan makes noise maybe slightly quieter than my old enermax naxn 450watt.
Overall Review: If you have a big case or mid tower case you may need an extender for your atx 12 volt 4 or 8 pin for a clean look. Since this is not modular a person wouldn't expect to have cable tidiness to a severe degree. I expected my system to be quieter, no such luck. All 7 fans in my system are geared to be quiet including the one in this psu, but together they all make some noise. I guess I'll live with it. Maybe next time buy a fanless psu and see if that helps.
Pros: Kaveri a8 7600 apu works out of the box. Just works. Thinking about buying another one of these.
Cons: Sata connector is too close to usb 3 header. Had to whittle down some of the plastic on my cable's connector to get it to fit.
Overall Review: I've owned this since September and it turns on everyday. The system is a 1 harddrive system with r7 graphics from the apu. So its as simple as it gets for me. No raid headaches or overclocking issues to deal with. At some point I'll have the option of dropping in a newer faster chip. I bought a gigabyte Hercules psu so no issue with the 8 pin power connector. This is not an enthusiast board, just saying if you want crossfire or sli you probably don't want an apu to begin with.. But it was a smart choice for me.
Pros: 30 day exchange period, Sata III, Seagate Barracuda drives have always been excellent for me. Refurb unit dies within time period, send it back, no biggie for me. Drive is near silent read/write really not even a purr out of it. Works in an enclosure. Backup room is 698GB formatted space. Use it to backup my laptop with a 500 GB drive half full.
Cons: Sale ended too fast. Have to take a little risk, may or may not be worth it depending on what it's used for.
Overall Review: Real good cutting edge technology goes into making these work as well as they do, this is 32MB Cache and is a great all around choice for casual builders, external enclosures, and non-mission critical jobs.
Pros: Thumbscrews and exhaust fan included. 1 slot cover included. Everything worked fine and I was able to get my system running.
Cons: Expansion slots screws were not completely threaded so had to really struggle to get the screw in and seated properly. Overall metal was light gauge.
Overall Review: The black power button and reset disappear on the black front of the case. Had to carefully remove front bezel to remove the optical drive bay breakout. While there I removed the 3.5" breakouts as well.. I watched youtube video that helped get me familiar with the case before the build.
Pros: Runs 3d graphics ok, handles business apps ok. Not a lot of raw power but runs cooler I'm guessing. apu cooler that comes with it is not loud. I love amd apus and this works for videos and such just dandy.
Cons: could make a more noticeable corner mark on the chip for easier installation / orientation.
Overall Review: Not thrilled with the price but newegg has good service so it's worth it to buy from them.
Pros: This was used on a enermax 431 watt psu with a 20 pin main connector on a hp core duo pc with a 24pin connector. It runs the pc with no problems.
Overall Review: Cable management is not important to me in a hp pavilion d4790y.
Pros: Nicely designed/engineered product. Looks clean and simple. Meets basic function requirements. Comes with rear exhaust fan. Nice black paint and shiny plastic combo.
Inexpensive. Its 16" x 16" x 7.25" ??? so its not terribly small.
Cons: Threads for side panels are too easy to cross-thread. Must remove all of the breakout expansion slot covers before installing motherboard. Power button is a little flimsy. No cable space behind the board.
Overall Review: It's very light, getting the panels back on properly and not stripping the threads is tricky. I swapped in a set of thumbscrews I had. Definitely remove the expansion slot breakout covers first thing. Power supply should be modular if possible cx430m or like.
Pros: Piece of cake to install. Nice little remote and great ir receiver with a little sticky backing to help mount it. Works with windows 7 64bit. Arcsoft media software is great for my needs, (recording tv,watching recorded tv) I am glad that it came with such good software after using it for quite awhile with no problems or glitches.
Cons: Could not configure with wmc because of my cable co. setup. Wanted it to work with media center but it didn't. To be honest the arcsoft total media software is better than the wmc anyway but I still dock it one egg.
Overall Review: This is just an inexpensive way to have a dvr in my bedroom, It works great to record live tv and to pause live tv. Once the trick of getting the thing setup is accomplished you should be fine, use their software its great!
Pros: Love the case. It's great airflow cable management and looks make it an attractive choice.
Cons: Case lights burned out within 2 months. Every add in card has been very difficult to seat into the case. The tooless drive bays are pretty weak pretty much popped them off and used screws.
Overall Review: Makes for a great build but quality isn't there in the long run.
Pros: Great performance with overclocking to 1680. Seems like it is a quality product, good build quality and packaging. Windows 32bit only recognizes 4gb so be sure you have a 64bit operating system. Lifetime warranty.
Cons: None, lets hope they last, anyway they have a lifetime warranty.
Overall Review: Keep them together, they don't run well in single channel. I pulled one of the dimms and benchmarks were abysmal, put them both in and voila, back up to normal.
Pros: Installed this to help quiet my system down and it did a tiny bit. Plugged it up and powered on no problems. Better acoustics than some power supplies. Runs my basic A10 5800 with 1 optical drive and 1 harddrive with lots of upgrade room for a new gpu or more storage.
Cons: I must have extremely sensitive hearing or something but with this running with a quiet cpu cololer and voltage reducers on the quiet 140mm and 120mm exhaust fans, I still perceive this as loud, may be just me. Not knocking an egg.
Overall Review: Barely quieter than the corsair cx430 that was driving me crazy cause of the noise, I may owe Corsair an apology. This thing is wired up so its stayin'.
Pros: Very effective cooling, not expensive,, well designed, looks good, fairly quiet. Used in NZXT Tempest case and barely fits, but does. Requires memory that is short in stature for use with a fm2-a75ma-e35 mobo. Can just barely slide my side panel on, it sticks out so far.
Cons: Instructions are pretty simple but can be confusing. Takes about 15 minutes to install. Take old plate off then get the right plate on and tightened then get the right pieces installed, swap out memory because it won't fit with the kind with big heat spreaders, etc etc...
Overall Review: The idle temps of my cpu and motherboard have nearly been cut in half, over the stock amd cooler. went from 65 cpu to 35 cpu at idle.
Pros: has split 4 x4 pin for atx has pci-e lots of connectors if your rig needs them. premium quality case looks great. 430 watt. Makes my basic pc requirements and then some.
Cons: added to a nzxt tempest case the fans all together are pretty loud.
Overall Review: my first all new build in 15 years. Bought cause it was touted as a quality unit online.
Pros: Faster usb faster sata faster memory faster computer by far the lowest cost biggest bang @ the buck board I ever bought.
Cons: missing umbilical quick connectors
no mounting holes were the 24pin power is seems silly cause that is the only place you really need to push down hard.
Overall Review: Don't build your computer the day before surgery unless you want to go insane thinking about what you want to add to it or mess around with it. Ahh good times!
Pros: Nice looking minimalist style, works great, cheap. Put a reconditioned hgst 500gb drive in it, total incl. shipping for both items was $54.98 Great Newegg deal.
Cons: could not insert hard drive without removing one of the screws. As other reviews state, difficult fit.
Overall Review: I don't mind having a few screws loose.
Pros: 500gb for less than $35.00. Worth the gamble, if its worth your time. Solid well made case/housing looks like a good harddrive. Is fairly quiet, and fairly fast. Good performance for the price.
Cons: Bought 2 of these and one was bad had to rma. The other is in an enclosure. The enclosure is hot enough to do double duty as a hot plate after a 3 hour backup.
Overall Review: I love buying refurb drives always have. New ones break too so what the heck. I backup my system on several drives to avoid data loss. I have no idea how the drive will last in a really tight hot enclosure. I turn my enclosures off whenever I'm not doing a backup.
Pros: I like that it is powered thru a single usb 3.0 or 2.0 port. It is very lightweight and compact. Does not seem to heat up too much.
Cons: No case included except for plastic pkg it came in. Installs funny on windows 7 if you do not have the driver it comes loaded with on it. But it still works ok.
Overall Review: I am buying a second one for backing up and system images on my work pc.
Pros: Easy to follow install, setup fast, had it configured in 5 minutes. Great range with the dual antennas. Good wifi good router, it cost very little.
Cons: None that I see.
