Display problem ruins otherwise stunning monitor10/16/2013 4:15:45 PM

Pros: Physically, the hardware is attractive looking, and feels like it has solid, quality construction. The controls are well intelligently laid out, and intuitive to use. The display was bright and sharp, configured attractively out of the box. Viewing angles were also excellent.

Cons: If the room is dark, the lighting wasn't even when displaying black/dark colors. There were faint diagonal lines in the bottom half of the display. This occurred on all 3 computers I tried attaching to the monitor. I RMA'd it, but the replacement had the same problem, so i returned returned it. Windows 7 64-bit had trouble recognizing the USB hub built into the monitor, even with the latest drivers/software from the LG website. The RMA replacement didn't have this problem though.

Overall Review: It is conceivable that all 3 of the computers in my house have the same output problem that is creating these diagonal lines, or that this is simply user error. However, after I returned the RMA replacement monitor, I picked up a cheap gateway monitor from Fry's. The cheap monitor has not produced the same issue. I regret that this LG monitor had this issue, it was a wonderful piece of hardware otherwise. Newegg processed the RMA quickly and without fuss. It has been a 5 'egg' experience, my first Newegg return in 5+ years.

They're not Vienna Acoustics, but come on....9/4/2009 5:20:27 PM

Pros: For a small, relatively inexpensive set of speakers, they have crisp highs, adequate bass and a pleasant timbre/feel. Aesthetically, they are a nice balance of simplicity and style, without being overbearing. Construction-wise, they seem to have a decent build quality about them.

Cons: These are not going to produce the warmth, sound stage and fullness of a quality audio system. They also beg the question, can the $100 be better spent elsewhere? They're nice for what they are, but are they 4 times nicer than a $25 pair? Probably not, but I just can't bring myself use a pair of cheapo rinky-dink Logitechs.

Overall Review: All the praises and criticisms aside, I am migrating my Home Theater PC to an office setting. So no matter what I buy, no computer speakers (That I've heard at least) are going to compare to my main sound system, an audiophile's first love, to which these where formerly attached

Pros: -Before this I had P4 Northwood. This is incredibly fast and runs a lot cooler. -Bang for the buck. -Good overclock

Cons: -nothing really....

Overall Review: well, with Core i7 coming out in the near future, it makes you wonder if you should wait and go with that instead.

Pros: -This was my first build, and everything worked exactly the way it was supposed to. -Good amount of SATA connectors, PCI Express 2.0

Cons: -Hmm... The north bridge heatsink and my Tuniq Tower couldn't fit together. I ended up sawing the AMD bracket on the heatsink mount off. Not really gigabyte's fault though.... but its all I can think of

Overall Review: This was my first build and couldn't have been easier with this board. Gigabyte GA-EP43-DSL3, Q6600, HD4670, Antec 430W, 2gb DDR2 1066

Pros: -BIOS detected as 1066, just like it should. -runs on 1.8v, so it doesn't need a cooler.

Cons: -Wish it was cheaper -Only 1gb per stick

Overall Review: Gigabyte Easy Tune 6 detected it as 1110 not 1066, but even if that's true its not like I mind it running faster. Gigabyte GA-EP43-DSL3, Q6600, HD4670, Antec 430W, 2gb DDR2 1066

Pros: - Design allows for good airflow - Simple design looks nice, for a $40 case - Tool-less drive kits. I've never used tool-less kits before, but these are simple and straightforward, easy to use. If you have an ounce of intuition they are a great time saver. I didn't even have to read the instructions. They are easily the best feature of this case.

Cons: - Unless you put fans pushing air out of all the other vents, the air filter is kind of pointless. I moved the CPU fan vent filter to the side hdd vent, and put fans going out on everywhere except the front. Its seems to help with dust a little. - The typically slightly cheap feel of a $40 case, but its not like I plan on throwing it down the stairs.

Overall Review: This was my first case purchase for my first system build. If you are able to see, and willing to accept the designer's implied view of system design, this case is smooth sailing through calm waters.

Cons: None.

Overall Review: I wish it was thinner so I could swap out my hdd cooler fans with these.

Pros: It works. I got a 3-4 degree drop on my hdd.

Cons: Loud fan.... well, at least the loudest out of the ones in my case. At least I'll know if it stops working.....
