Pros: Actually, none that I can site.
Cons: It just doesn't work.
Overall Review: This card is designed to create what SYBAUSA calls a HyperDuo setup for an SSD and HDD that will optimize performance between the two - I guess that it offloads the reserved system swap files to the HDD to preserve the SSD, maybe some other stuff too. I bought this card in order to set up a RAID 1 from a pair of 2T drives I also purchased. Prior to purchasing the card, I verified, with SYBAUSA, that it would do this for me. Unfortunately, it did not. During setup, the BIOS acts like it is working until it comes time to create the virtual disk, at which point the setup locks up: requiring a reboot. Eventually Tech Support recommended I set the RAID up as the HyperDuo. This didn't work because the card is smart enough to look for an SSD and therefore also failed the setup. So, I tried to setup the HyperDuo functionality with an SDD I also purchased and an HDD. That didn't work either because it didn't see the SSD - even though I made sure that all of the connections were solid. Note that all of the drives I attached to this card have been - and continue to be - usable through the sata connections on the motherboard. I've spent many hours trying to get this card to work and have decided that it just isn't worth any more of my time. I don't think it is broken in some way, I just think its design is defective. I'm sending it back for a refund and now have to start over trying to find a replacement.
Pros: Does exactly what was indicated. Easy installation. Nearly adequate instructions.
Cons: As indicated, the instructions are "nearly adequate". There were some options for setting up the raid that could have used some elicudation. Nothing exhaustive, but it would have been nice to have some information about what things like stripe size effects, etc.
Overall Review: This was an inexpensive, effective, and easy solution to the problem I was having with setting up raid array in my computer, independant of my OS SSD. I tried this with SYBAUSA's PEX40052 and that was a complete failure. Having said that, I felt that the company REALLY tried to help in that instance so I decided to try another of their products and am glad that I did. I have not attempted to test the raid for throughput yet. I just know it is set up and appears to be working. The testing will come soon.
3.5 year - still going
Pros: Right after I bought this drive I read a bunch of reviews that made me really worried. They really hammered Seagate because this drive was supposed to be manufactured defective. However, I have been using this drive now for over 3.5 years and it is still going strong.
Overall Review: I have decided to upgrade to an SSD and a bigger hard drive, but I will keep this one running.
Pros: This power supply has been running in my PC for 3 3/4 years now and hasn't skipped a beat.
Cons: None really. I has done all that I want. However, I am adding additional S-ATA drives to my PC right now and this power supply only has two power cords for that application. I am trying to ascertain whether or not my new SSD and HDD can be utilized with just an adapter or if I need to replace my power supply.
Overall Review: You really can't go wrong with this unit. Just make sure it has the power connectors you may want in the future. This guy has six (count them) standard power connectors - 5V. It can handle plenty of hardware.
Marvelous Customer Service
Pros: Good clear sound and good range as well. Comfortable in the ear. Light weight and I really like the clip. All earbuds should include a clip! Works great with my computer.
Cons: Pay close attention to the statement "works with MOST MP3 players." They do not work with any Creative MP3 players - per MEElectronics Customer Service.
Overall Review: I had never before purchased an MEElectronics product but did so because of the great price and free shipping at Newegg. When I received the ear buds they did not work with my MP3 player so I checked the MEElectronics web site. No specific info there so I e-mailed their customer service. I have to say they have GREAT customer service! After a few messages back and forth, they offered to replace my M16P headphones with the non phone style (M16) and all I had to do was mail my M16Ps to them. The new headphones are as good as the old ones were when used with my computer and these work with my MP3 player. I realize this is not a big ticket item, but when you get great service, it's only right to let others (i.e. other potential customers) know.
