It just works
Pros: Swapped them with my old one (EVO Potenza 2x4GB), no problem, no configuration changes and, not that I really care, but it made the interior of my PC look a lot nicer since the LEDs are so bright!
Cons: None
Overall Review: Ran Alyx smoothly, so they seem to work just fine!
Got what I was looking for
Pros: Bought this for Alyx (didn't have the means to buy an Index), and I'm not dissapointed! The headset is pretty confortable, I could play for hours without getting tired or the headset feeling too heavy! I was kind of afraid that it would have trouble with SteamVR since you have to go through the Oculus software, but it turned out great!
Cons: My big complain is that I kept getting the message that the display port was disconnecting. I updated my drivers, messed around a bit with the BIOS, and yet it kept disconnecting. Worked great on the first day, but I had problems after and it was mostly disconnecting as soon that I put the headset on my head. I think it was, and kind of still is, a cable problem. The problem seemed to have stopped the last time I unplugged it from the headset, but it still happens from time to time and it can be really annoying, but after a lot of googling, it doesn't seem to be a common problem. I might try to buy another cable if the problem comes back!
Overall Review: Pretty great product for the price! Alyx is running pretty smoothly and I barely have the minimum specs: GPU: GTX 1060 CPU i5-7400 16GB of ram
